Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking the Farm Loop

Oh No, this can't be happening already!
It is the only tree I've seen changing though! 😊
🌳     🌳
It was a cloudy morning for walking today but I did see the sun once in a while too.
The temperature was 58 degrees.

Walked the Farm Loop.
I walk to the main road and walk down this way.
A left turn off the main road brings me this way.
Along this road are a few houses.  Farther down the road I pass through
some woods on either side of the road and today the couple I see once
in a while was along there by the woods.
Farmer Bill's farm is on the right just past the woods.
Then past Farmer Bill's farm I make another left and walk up this way.
Along this road I pass a few farms, one of which is Farmer Georg's Farm
and also the Dairy Farm.  George who I often see in town lives along this road too.
At the end of the road is where the school is
and I make another left when I get to the school and walk down this
road back to town.
Today when I got back to town I walked around one of the cemeteries,
back through town, and home.

It really is a nice walk around the FL.
Walked 6 miles
🚶     🚶
Did some laundry and got it hung out on the line and then did a few
things around the house while Ken was up at HT moving stones with his tractor.

Ken was home for lunch and afterward we left for bowling.
Went a bit early to get a couple of errands done.
There were 8 of us bowling today and I it wasn't one of my better
bowling days.  102, 124, and a 121.
Always fun though.
After bowling we all went to Pizza Hut for supper.
This is only the second time we've ever eaten here.

Home now and looking forward to a little ice cream (cookies and cream),
watching Netflix and make some more weave-its.

A happy day to you.

What do you do when a car comes by when you are walking along the road you picture? Do people pay attention?

...heavy rain overnight and a beautiful blue sky with white puffy clouds today, what more could a guy ask for.

I've already noticed a few of those leaves changing on the trees down in the swamp.

Oh that tree...hmmm...gives one pause. Have seen a red leaf or two, but not a tree quite so far "gone." Now let me just guess what you and Ken think of Pizza Hoot...did I get it right? LOL!

Our Burning Bush is beginning to turn and I have seen a few trees that are starting to turn as well. Hard to believe, yes?

Glad you had fun bowling and how nice that you all went out for supper together again afterward!

I like your flowers in the little vases that are sitting in that exquisite dough bowl! I love that!

It does seem early for that tree to be turning. I guess it's a good reminder to enjoy summer while we still can.
Your day sounds like a good one and I enjoyed the photos.
Pretty flowers in your centerpiece.

The trees around here are starting to turn a bit too...just certain kinds.. I am ready for it at any time, the sooner the better! The farm loop looks so peaceful. We have many country roads around close to where I live too but there are SO many cars, many driving quite fast! I always enjoy hearing about your day :D

That tree has some lovely colours in it ...
We've had rain, rain and more rain today, summer has dis-appeared for the time being.

All the best Jan
