Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Moon

Sitting on the porch yesterday evening I took a picture of the moon.
Then I zoomed in and took this one.
Turned out pretty good for just a point and shoot camera.
(which is all I ever use)

DebbieH -  I'll probably take a few plants along with me to the new house but not a lot.  We will be in the woods and I'm sure the deer will eat them.

HennyPenny - Just thought it was a typo. 😊
📌
For the past few days it has been 62 degrees in the morning and it was again today.
Just cloudy when I left but after a few miles I felt the first rain drops.
The last mile or so I walked in a misty rain.
Not enough to get dripping wet, just damp.

Stayed around town again this morning and walked all over the place on no
particular route.
The little town pond still has the two pumps working pumping out the water.
Looks like it is going to take a while.
I saw Rebeca out this morning two times.  First walking her dog and
then again running.

Walked 6.3 miles
Found the first coin of the month, a penny.

Ronnie our builder came over the house at 9:00 this morning and we went
over the house plans and then him and Ken went up to HT to look at the lay
of the land with a survey transit level.
We may just get started this year and not have to wait till the spring.
I'm just going to be patient though as it will get done all in time.

We've had rain, sun, clouds, more rain and sun again, a very changeable
weather day.
Between rains I got some more weeding done.

Last evening I mentioned that we were going to watch the last episode of
the Murdoch Mysteries series but when the ending came and ended
with a cliff hanger I knew there was no way they would end the show like that.
Netflix only has 7 of the seasons and there are 10 of them.

We are now watching Doc Martin again and also Call the Midwife.

That's it for today.
A happy day to you.

Pretty flowers in that last photo.
I think your moon shots are wonderful. I use a point and shoot too and have never gotten one that good. What setting do you use?

Very nice shots of the moon! We've enjoyed both Doc Martin and Call the Midwife. We are watching a new Father Brown right now. Have a great Sunday.

Have you watched Foyle's War? I love so many of them, but it is one of our favorites. Also Bletchley's Circle. And do you watch Father Brown? I know Netflix has Father Brown cause I have been re-watching them, and the last I noticed they still had Foyle's War....don't let the name put you off as I did for years. Did you ever see Ballykissangel? It is not on Netflix now, but it was at one time. I keep hoping they will bring it back.

Very impressive moon shot, especially with the camera you describe. I no longer can get good moon shots with my "new" old camera. (I guess they are old at six years these days.)

Last night, I saw my rosebud eating culprit...a doe! I have no love of deer in my yard when they have so many tasty things in the forest. It may be time to look for deer resistant plants. Believe me, she was not at all concerned about my window rapping nor door slamming. 😏

Oh it would be fun for you to get a head start on building. Then you could be moving in come spring instead of just starting.

Great moon photos. Call the Midwife is one of my favourites too especially as we lived in Poplar when we were first married and it is set not so long ago.

Love the moon shots . . . I have been enjoying that moon too. Each night it shines a light into the bedroom window . . . so much sweeter than the street lights from our old home. How sweet it is to live in the country :)

I couldn't help noticing that gorgeous moon as it rose above our neighbor's garage last night. Wonderful shot!

FYI, sitting here watching youtube videos on the weave-it looms....like I need another hobby. But I sure would have loved this years ago! How long have you been using the weave it looms?
