Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Barn Collective

Linking up with Tom for the Barn Collective Series.
This barn is right next door to where our new house will be.
Our driveway is on the left from where I'm standing taking the picture.

Comment Replies:
Kim - My camera is set on automatic with the flash turned off.  Very rarely do I change a thing when taking pictures.

Rose - Yes, I've seen Foyle's War and Ballykissangel and like them both.  Have watched some of Brother Brown but I always fall asleep when watching that!!  Haven't seen Bletchley's Circle but have heard of it.
I've been making weave-it squares most of my life.  My Gramma Green made them on a home made weave-it loom that my grandfather MADE of which I have now.  Though I use a plastic one now that I found in an antique store some years ago.  My Gramma taught all of us grandkids when we were kids and I'm the only one out of 8 that make them.

A beautiful sunny morning and 52 degrees for my walk this morning
around the Farm Loop.
Walking down the main road to the Farm Loop I  saw our friend Billy from church
drive by on his way to work.  I see him most days and he
and he gives me a toot as he drives by.  Today he stopped to say hi.

Noticed the milkweed has started to bloom.
Back in town I saw George and he stopped to say hi too and was happy to
report that his daughter is expecting baby number 5.

Walked 6.3 miles

Yesterday afternoon we went up to Happy Trails and walked around
where our house will be.
This is the house site.  I'm standing in the garage.
Ken went off to church this morning to help out at Bible Time
and took along the 20 dozen cookies that I made.

Another Monday and more laundry to do.  Nice that it was such
a nice sunny day to hang out the wash.
In the afternoon we loaded up the ATV on the trailer and took it down
to LaVale and dropped it off to get serviced.
While we were there we did our food shopping at the Walmart down there.

For supper I made one of my super duper salads.
Can't remember if I told you our new favorite dressing is
Ken's Steak House Lite Sweet Vidalia Onion.
It is so good.  Anyone else like it?

Now for a nice evening at home.

  15. Nice shots! I notice people are letting milkweed grown more often because it is favored by butterflies.
