Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Around the yard. Baby Blanket

Farmer Marvin's corn is continuing to grow.
It is now just past my waist.

Elaine - I think the house will be a little more 1500 square feet.  (Not counting the garage or basement and the basement will not be finished.)

FG - Yes, a three car garage. 😊 No having to clear off a car or truck of snow or ice during the winter.

Melanie -  There is NO WAY Ken could fit his trains in a bedroom!!  He will pack up his trains for now and eventually build another layout in the basement of the new house.

There was a light misty rain, a bit of a breeze, and 62 degrees this morning.
I took along my umbrella with me but with the wind and the mist I was getting
damp anyway so ended up not using the umbrella.  Besides the mist kept
me nice and cool.
No special route again, walked up and down all the streets in town.
Met up with Kathy walking around the ball park loop and walked about
a mile with her before we went our separate ways.

Pretty quiet around town.
Walked 6.3 miles

Home from my walk I walked around the yard and took a few pictures.
Cone Flowers and a few sunflowers outside the dining room window.
Front garden down by the street on the right
This one is up the top of the driveway.
I transplanted these daisies in the back yard where two of the lilac
bushes were.  Next year it will be thick with them here.
Mid day the sun made its appearance and I went outside and got a
little more weeding done out front.

Finished the latest Baby Blanket I've been working on for the blanket ministry
at my church sitting on the front porch this afternoon.
Supper time we had a thunder storm pass through so the gardens got
another good watering.

Ken is out this evening and I will read until he gets home.
Then we have the last episode of The Murdoch Mysteries to watch and
have our ice cream.

Life is Good
A happy day to you.

Proverbs 2:3, 4, 5
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding,
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures:
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord,
and find the knowledge of God.

I'd love that garage! Our new house has a double garage, but it's so narrow two cars will barely fit. Your gardens look fabulous! But I do feel badly for Ken and his trains.

Your baby blanket is so pretty, Karen. It is hard to know what to take with you for a walk these days. But we really needed the rain. Things were beginning to get dry. Have a lovely weekend, Karen.

Hello, I just love your garden and flowers. Very pretty blanket. Having a garage does come in handy on the icy snowy days. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

The blanket is so pretty....how nice to donate to a ministry. Oh, how I love your flowers. Will you be transplanting some to your new location? Wish I lived closer...;-) Happy Saturday to you!

Pretty blanket and pretty flowers! I've not watched much of Murdoch Mysteries but my daughter in law watches it all the time. I think she is at the end of what is available on NetFlix. I can't imagine the work it will be for Ken to pack up his trains! Have a great weekend.

Your flowers are so pretty. I have just a small patch of cone flowers. Bet you think that I am an idiot. This morning I fixed my coffee and picked up the Bible to read a chapter, and thought, Chapter 37 Proverbs would be good since I mentioned to you that it was one of my favorites...then it hit me! There is no chapter 37 in Proverbs. I was thinking of Psalm 37. Another two words that I mix up sometimes are Psalms and Hymns... Hope you don't mind my correcting of this in a comment. :) Thanks.
