Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Daisies and clouds

🐞     🐞
This morning was a mix of sun and clouds and 60 degrees when I walked.
Today didn't see ANYONE else out walking.  They all must be
resting up from yesterday. 😊

Had another one of those random walks all over town.
Made a stop at the library to drop a book down the slot and right next
door is where the water bill gets paid and I dropped the payment for
that down the slot there.

The cement truck was over by the new building at the car dealer
and the concrete was getting poured for the floors.

Usually I see many rabbits but this morning not a one.
As usual I enjoyed my morning walk.😊

Walked 6 miles
 🐞     🐞
Ken made us Cherry Turnovers for breakfast.
Then I got ready and left for church where some of us women met
for making Baby Blankets.
There were 9 of us there and we had a good time as we always do.
Some of them went out for lunch but I passed on it and came home for lunch.
Here I am driving home and just coming into McHenry.
I can't believe the picture came out because I did it all by feel.
My eyes were on the road the whole time.
I took this one on my front porch when I got home.
Later in the afternoon Ken and sat out on the porch to read.
We did more talking than reading but enjoyed sitting on our porch.
I'm so thankful we have a porch and our new house will have one too.
Sat out there until it was time to come in and cook dinner.

After supper we had a thunderstorm with lots of rain so all the
flowers had a good drink.
I sat on the porch once again watching it rain until the rain came unto
the porch and I started to get wet.
So nice sitting on the porch when it rains.

It's been a good day.
Life if Good.
A happy day to you.

DebbyRay - We don't use AC so fans are a must for us. 😊

DebbieH.  - Yes, a lot of my walks come in at 6.2 miles and it just happens that way.  I aim for 6 miles.

Your clouds are beautiful! I'm always rushing outside to get pics of neat clouds. Love those daisies too! Enjoy your evening! Hugs!

You don't use AC? I may not have to this year, but some years are too miserable and humid. It always makes me grin when you share another of your simple pleasures...sitting on the porch while it rains.

This post is filled with lovely scenes. The Daisies growing wild are some of my favourites.

Sounds like the perfect day! One of the stipulations I had when we were looking for a new home is that it had a porch. Just have to have a porch!! :) The cloud shots are great and your Daisies are gorgeous! Mine are just in bud.

Jann

The daisies are so pretty. Mine are in bloom too.
That is amazing to me too that you don't have to use the A/C. I think we would melt down here without it. I can stand some heat, but the humidity does me in.
Glad to hear that you kept your eyes on the road while taking that lovely photo ;).

Hello, I love cloud watching, very pretty skies. The daisies are beautiful too, I would love to see a big group of them in my yard. Having a covered porch is nice. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!

Daisies always make me smile.... AND--those clouds/blue sky are wonderful.

I too love porches --but ours is a deck... Wish it were covered since I love sitting outside during a rain.

Hugs,
Betsy
