Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Inside steps

It was 27 degrees this morning and I could have gone walking outside
but decided not to and to get my steps for the day inside.
Just didn't want to take the chance of falling on my wrist again.
It is much better today but if I fell on it again I might break it this time.
I'll be back to walking outside tomorrow.
⛄     ⛄     ⛄
I had enough days of puttering around the house and today I got
busy working around the house.
Got lots of cleaning done and every job I got finished I'd take some extra steps
around the house.

Saturday we are going to a Couples Banquet with the couples from church
over at the Wisp Resort in McHenry.
Nice that it is only about 6 milesor so from home.
The banquet will be held in the hotel.
We have invited our friends Dianna and Carroll as our guests
and happy to say they said yes.  😊
The tickets for the banquet are these little boxes of hearts.
I ate all the hearts out of ours already.
Dianna and I are blogging friends and we have become friends in person as well.
 Check out her blog,  Forgiven...

We made homemade pizza for supper this evening.
Toppings of garlic and red peppers.
I'm glad we decided to stay home and have supper
because the pizza was delicious.

That's it for today.

A happy day to you, and a smile from me to you.

I didn't realize how many days have passed since I left you a comment. I'm really behind. I'm so sorry about your Mom and also your fall. HOPE your wrist is healing....and your heart with time!

Oh my - sorry to hear you had fallen. I haven't been in blogland much this week. Hope your wrist is better soon! That couples party sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm glad to hear that you are staying in and taking care on your wrist. Go out when the roads are clear of ice and snow. Oh, I love that Winter photo . . . even if it's cold ad I'm dreaming of Spring, I have to agree that Winter is beautiful :)

Hi Happyone, Special thanks for two things: 1. The link to Ken's new video. I am so impressed with his model layout. Just amazing and all the attention to detail! Wow, he must spend hours and hours on that. 2. Your WALK information. Thanks for all you said there about walking. I sure agree with so many positive benefits. You walk quite a bit faster than I do. It takes me about 20 mins to do a mile. Even so, I still feel a lot of benefits. Otherwise, I enjoyed your posts the last few days. Wow, you have sure had some snow and winter weather. Thanks for all you share. Really enjoy your blog! Have a great weekend ahead and say HI to Ken for me.

Sounds like a fun event and I really like the creative invite idea! That pizza sounds real good. I think I better go have my bowl of cereal before I read any more blog posts!

So glad you didn't break your wrist. I am so afraid of falling and breaking a bone...especially with osteoporosis. The banquet sounds like fun. I enjoy Dianna's blog too. Have fun and take care.

Would you beleive I have walked two miles in circles inside my house before? Its just a typical ranch style house with a front living room and back den. Yep, walked round and round for an hour!!
