Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Chalk Drawings

Sunday evening (Nov 6) through Friday evening (Nov 11) our church
had revival meetings with Dr. Don Williams speaking
and drawing his chalk drawings.
He draws one a night and at the end of the week
the six people who brought the most guests to church
gets to take one of the drawings home.
I took a picture of the six drawings.
Each picture has a hidden picture within the picture
and comes out when a black light shines on it.
I could only get one of the pictures with the hidden picture
and it is my favorite one of all the pictures.
Here you can see Jesus at the end of the path.
Couldn't get a very good picture because of the lighting
but you can get the idea.
This picture is of Peter when he started walking on water
out to Jesus and he lost faith and starting sinking.
You can kind of see Jesus there in the big wave.
The Bible verses I chose for this Sunday are
Matthew 14:25 - 31
And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them,
walking on the sea.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled,
saying, It is a spirit: and they cried out for fear.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying,
Be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid.

And Peter answered him and said,
Lord if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

And he said Come.
And when Peter was come down out of the ship,
he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid;
and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him,
and said unto him,
O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Peter starting sinking when he took his eyes off of Jesus, but when he called out to Jesus, He was there for him. We may not walk on water but when we go through difficult times and call on Jesus, He will be always be there to help us.  And for that I am truly thankful.

I walked this morning in snow showers, with a temperature of
27 and very windy.
I wore my new 'snow sneakers' that I got from LL Bean for the first
time and they were great.  They kept my feet warm and dry.
Couldn't get a full walk in which happens sometimes on Sundays because
I have to get ready for church and this Sunday I only walked 4.6 miles.

May you have a blessed Sunday.
Jesus Loves You.

Never heard of a picture in a picture, but they are beautiful and such a unique idea. Lucky you to get snow for Thanksgiving.

We are snowy too. Glad your new "snow sneakers" are working out. I must check out the L.L. Bean website and see if I can find them.
Thanks for sharing the lovely verse.

These pictures within pictures are wonderful, and the Jesus portraits are subtle. I am glad your boots are keeping your tootsies warm and dry.

Those chalk drawings are just beautiful. I certainly could make out Jesus at the end of the path. I've not heard of snow sneakers. I'm glad they are keeping you warm and dry. Your walk today looks cold! Brrr. Have a lovely evening.

These are all lovely chalk drawings ... and so clever to get the hidden figure of Jesus in them. I've not seen that done before.

Glad your snow sneakers were ok

All the best Jan
