Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday's Critters

Linking up with Eileen today for her Saturday's Critters.
This one is from a couple of years ago.
A cow, a llama and don't forget that chicken over there on the left.
🍁     🍁     🍁     🍁
Up and out of the house at my usual time of 6:30.  41 degrees this morning and
no wind to speak of.  I'm looking forward to when we
turn the clocks back to the normal time and it won't be so dark in the morning.

Walked one of my around the town routes and added a bit to it.

Didn't see anyone else out at all.
That skunk was around again.  I'm wondering if it is the same one.
I wonder how far their range is.  I'll have to look that up.
Saw a few rabbits hopping around up at one of the cemeteries.

Walked 6.6 miles
 🍁     🍁     🍁     🍁
Ken went up to happy trails in the morning and I did my morning stuff
and then continued on the organization of my closets and dressers.
The front hall closet is done.
And my clothes closet is done too.
Everything that I could fold up, I did and it is going in my dresser.

In the afternoon I went up to Happy Trails with Ken.
The kitchen area is getting a sink.
We got this nice piece of wood from a friend who Ken helped and he sanded it
and make it nice and smooth.
We are using it for the mantel.
Here also Ken has put up wire mesh on the wall and he will put the stone we
collected up there.
When I got back home I finished cutting back the daisies out in the front garden
down at the end of the driveway.

Now for a nice quiet evening at home,
knitting
reading
watching something on Netflix
and eating ice cream.

A happy day to you.

What a fun group of critters with even the rooster getting his beck in the shot!
You have been really busy and productive as everything is as neat as ninepence, as my mother likes to say!

The streets are sure looking like fall where you live. Never ever have I seen such neat clean closets! You would faint if you looked into my closet, and I've always thought of myself as being a neat person. You make me want to start cleaning out! Right now! :)

Karen, your "critter" picture is outstanding! It looks like a painting instead of a photograph...especially the face of the cow and the little bit of the chicken that can be seen.

And I think I need to glean some ideas here from you on organization! WOW! Your closets look SO nice!

I enjoyed seeing the pics of the kitchen sink and the mantle. That is going to look so cool when the stone is up in place under it!

I will hate the time change, but will smile to remember that you love it! Sure looks pretty down your way. The closets look very organized. We have the opposite philosphy on closets, too. Ha! If I can hang it up I will...not a fan of dressers for clothing. Skunks are on the move here, too. Must be mating season or something.

Hello, I love the critters. They are so cute. I do not like the darker evenings and short days. The closets look nice, very organized. Your kitchen sink looks great, the cabin will be beautiful when it is all done. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week ahead!

How beautiful Happy Trails will be when it's finished! I think llamas are so cute. Their expressions always make me laugh. Very neat closets. You are inspiring me! Have a blessed day.

Llamas make me laugh. Haha. Wish my closet would look that neat. I have a small clothes closet and it has more blankets than clothes in there. I plan to do a clean out soon. Youve convienced me. Haha.

Cute picture of your critters.
It is looking very fall like on your walks now. Our colors are just starting to turn.
Your closets look so nice and organized. I need to tackle my clothes closet. I usually do it twice a year when the temperatures change.
The HT kitchen is looking so cute. I like the idea for a mantle from that handsome piece of wood.

Hi Karen, your closets look very neat and organized. You look like you love shoes just like me!
HT is really coming along.
We walked this morning in the rain, something we haven't done in a long time.
Have a good week!

Haha, yes, that is something to be thankful for! (Your quote.) 41! Goodness! Already? Love your autumn leaf blog decor. Isn't it nice to straighten up closets, etc? Leaves one with a feeling of satisfaction.
