Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Quilt Barn (6)

Linking up with Tom today for The Barn Collective.
Ridgeview Valley owns this barn located on Gravelly Run Rd. in
McHenry, Garrett County, MD
and has a Crazy Quilt block design.

🚜     🚜     🚜     🚜
Must have needed a bit of extra sleep because I didn't wake up
my usual time this morning.
Ken woke me up asking if I knew it was 6:45 already.
So I popped out of bed, got dressed and was out by 7:00.
It was 39 degrees so wore two sweatshirts and kept the hood up.
There was a bit of a haze on this sunny morning with no wind.

Walked through town and down toward Happy Trails.
Up Barn Sale Road a ways.
Around both cemeteries and the ball park loop
and around town.

The runner was running his 5 times around the ball park loop
and the man walking the big white dog was out too.

Walked 6 miles
Found 5 pennies
🚶     🚶     🚶     🚶
Ken went up to Happy Trails first thing after breakfast
and I stayed home to got some housework done.
Moved some pieces of furniture around from one room to another.
Needed help with a bringing a table up from the basement so
had to wait for Ken to come home and help.

Late afternoon we went out to do a couple of errands and on the way home
stopped at Brenda's for half price pizza which they have during the cooler
months on Mondays.

Home now and I'll be reading, knitting
and later eating my snack of ice cream . 🍨

A happy day to you.

Every now and then we DO sleep in a bit. I think you're right. We need it.
I'm glad you had a lovely walk!

Sounds like you had a very pleasant day . . . maybe you should think about going to bed earlier and getting more sleep. Sometimes our bodies need more rest :) I love that photo with the trees. You live in such a beautiful part of the country :)

My wife usually is glued to the bed but when it came time to go play bingo she was up without waking her...

That's an interesting looking barn quilt.
It's getting pretty dark in the mornings now and I find it more difficult to get out of my warm cosy bed.
Have a great week Happyone :)
