Fingerprint day

💧     💧     💧     💧
A jump of 20 degrees this morning from yesterday morning.
Today it was 48 degrees with on and off again drizzly rain.

It was another morning when I didn't wake up early and didn't
get up until 7:00 so got a late start walking.

Walked around town, the two cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Tombstones not that old but I liked the anchor on it.
A short walk today, only 3.3 miles.
I ran out of time because we had to leave the house early.

It was Fingerprint Ministry day at church and we had to leave early to
get things set up.  At first there was only 8 of us there but then lunch
time 9 more people showed up so we got a good bunch of the
scriptures put together, close to 3,000.
Always have a good time doing that and once again I worked on one
of the staple machines.

That was pretty much our day.
Home now for a nice quiet evening.

A happy day to you.

Vee - Yes, one of these days I'll write about my living in a castle.  Not today though.  Have to dig though some old pictures.

Debbie H. - Yes, I walk year round.  I have been known to skip a few days when the temperature dips in the single digits though.  Sometimes it is just too icy to walk too.

Pom Pom -  We have used some of the small trees we cut down for fences but most along with the sticks get either burned, put up on a natural fence or get fed to the chipper.

  1. It's amazing how the temperature can change so drastically.
I too liked the anchor on the tombstone.

I looked back at the 'fingerprints' post. That is some stapler machine - please take care when you are using it!

    All the best Jan

  3. Would love that cold weather you're experiencing. Thinking of moving further North just to get colder weather more often. Your dedication to your cause is inspiring.

  4. I like the anchor on the tombstone too, and that is a good Fingerprint ministry; I followed your link to read about it.

  6. I like the anchor, too. Reminds me of the song "The Anchor Holds." Yay! Looking forward to your writing about living in a castle, but no pressure. It's raining again here, too, and will through the weekend.

  7. Thanks for following my Margy Meanders blog. We've had lots of rain wind here in Coastal BC. It feels more like November than October. - Margy

  8. Hello, the tombstone is beautiful. I am in sunny Florida for the winter, I will not miss the cold snowy weather. Great barn! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

  9. The temperatures are sure up and down this time of year. We got a bit of snow yesterday and Saturday it is supposed to be in the upper sixties. Glad you had a good day!

  10. I think your Fingerprint Ministry is amazing. I like to walk around old cemeteries and see what is written on the stones. We're back to 80s during the day but low humidity so it feels okay. Have a great day.

  11. You do see the most interesting things when you go our walking!
Great to accomplish so much in your church's ministry and I'll note that quote by the great Robert Murray McCheyne.

  12. Hi Happyone, Love your first photo from Tuesdays (Oct 25) post! So few people look up and take pics and you are one who does both excellently. As I mentioned to you before, I’m on to a daily walk. Thought about you yesterday while on my walk when I spotted a dime on the sidewalk. Yes, I think I should start saving these finds but it will take a long time to fill up a jar! :-) Another of your photos I must compliment you on … the red sumac on Oct 26th. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your comments on my blog. Have a fine weekend ahead!
