Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Leaves and bees

 🍁     🍁     🍁     🍁
54 degrees this morning and another misty one like yesterday.
It was very windy out too.
Some of the leaves are turning colors, some trees have lost most of their
leaves, but most of the trees are still green.

Walked around town again and didn't see anyone else out walking,
but the usual people waved as they passed me in their cars as
well as the bus drivers.
An uneventful walk but still it I was happy to be out there.
Walked 6.2 miles

Today was cleaning day and I whizzed around and got most of it all done by lunch time.
Saving the kitchen for another day.  That will get a day all its own.

Working up at Happy Trails on the cabin the last few times we kept hearing a buzzing sound but couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
Then the other day I happened to look up out side in front
and this is what I saw.
So now we know where the buzzing is coming from.

Another bees nest that I spotted while we were driving down the road.
Ken pulled over and I took a picture.
It was pretty far away and looked big from there.
I zoomed in and got a pretty good picture.

Had a relaxing afternoon.
Read and did a crossword puzzle.
Haven't done one of those in quite a while.

The bread machine is making pizza dough
and I just now hear the beep saying it's done.
Ken will be making the pizza.
We are having tomatoes from the garden and fresh basil on it.
Yummy!
🍕
 A happy day to you.

Thanks for the prayers and concerns for my mom.  I believe she is in God's hands and he will take her Home when HE is ready.

Jan - Thanks for the Link for the walnuts.

Tricia - Yes, The Cornucopia is behind Penn Alps.  I had the tuna melt and tomato soup. It is a bit pricey but really nice.

A beautiful spread of leaves on the ground! Its been pretty windy here but not much change in the colour of the leaves.
That is quite a big bees' nest - hope they don't bother you!
Enjoy your pizza!

I like the new look here! Very pretty. My son is putting pretty fall photos on his Face Book page. Makes me jealous. Have a good evening.

I like the new look ... perfect for Autumn / Fall.
Enjoy your pizza with your home grown tomatoes and fresh basil.

As this last day of September draws to a close ... all good wishes for the new month of October.

All the best Jan

I love those coloured leaves. We have had very little color this year and already, many trees are bare.

I find the color of the leaves extravagantly beautiful. I am amazed how much wind and rain it takes to get them to let go from the branches. The tenacity in gripping their home and all they know is amazing.

Hello, pretty shots of the leaves. Not much color around here, maybe because of the drought. The pizza sounds delicious, I would love the tomato and basil. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Beautiful colors on those leaves!

Beautiful leaves, most of the trees here just go a dusty brown before the leaves fall or are blown. Will pray for peace for your mum and for you too.
