Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A surprise breakfast

This is one reason it is nice to take an early morning walk.
Good Morning
🌼     🌼     🌼     🌼
52 degrees this morning but once the sun rose it warmed up to the 70's pretty quickly.

I first walked to the library dropped the book I finished reading down the book drop.
Then continued walking around town.
Walking past the town pond I heard what seemed like hundreds of birds perched in the cattails around the pond.  They gave me my own personal concert.

Down by the Drane house is this old barn that I've taken so many pictures of.
I just had to take another.  Behind me the sun was shining and here the barn is in a cloud.  You can make out a horse standing there eating too if you look close.
Pretty quiet around town this morning.  Didn't see anyone else out.
Walked 6 miles
Sunrise 6:58
Sunset 7:27
🚶     🚶     🚶     🚶
When I got back home and walked in the door I smelled a delicious smell.
Ken surprised me and made us danish for breakfast.
It was a complete surprise.  What a guy!!
Ken went up to Happy Trails today and I stayed home and this time I actually did get some cleaning done.
Laundry
Bathrooms
Vacuuming
Dusting
Also had some time for a little reading and sitting out on the porch.
Didn't get to the store for any ice cream yet.
Maybe tomorrow.
A happy day to you.

The danishes certainly made up for no ice cream. Such a lovely photo of the barn shrouded in cloud.

What a nice and tasty surprise you received today.
We just returned from a walk in the dark. You definitely saw prettier sights than we did.

What a sweet hubby. That first sunrise pic is beautiful....and the fog covered barn, too. I've been housecleaning this week, too.....a never ending chore.

Oooh, that sunrise is gorgeous! Love the colors. You got a great shot of that barn in the cloud, and it must have been a treat listening to those birds. It is always pretty awesome to see the huge flocks of birds in the fall. Seeing the Danish pastries is making me hungry! We get them at Casey's gas station/convenience store for breakfast sometimes when we are travelling. They are so good!
