Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Read the Bible through

Read The Bible Through

When life is filled with heartaches,
And you know not what to do;
Dark days will look brighter,
When you READ YOUR BIBLE THROUGH.

When burdens crush like heavy weights,
And you know not what to do;
Burdens seem to grow much lighter,
When you READ YOUR BIBLE THROUGH.

When a fierce wind your life shakes,
And you know not what to do,
Days seem much more peaceful,
When you READ YOUR BIBLE THROUGH.

So do not trust your feelings,
And friends may fail you too,
But Christ will seem much nearer,
When you READ YOUR BIBLE THROUGH.

 II Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not be be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

A blessed Sunday to you.
Jesus loves you.

Wonderful words, and I am reading The Daily Reading Bible: Through the Bible in a Year and it is a joy to read. It takes about 15 minutes a day when I read at the end of the day.

I'm so thankful for God's Word. I know you are very thankful, too. Happy Sunday, sweet friend!

I'm not so good at the reading part, but I put my cares in God's hands every day, and appreciate the peace he provides.

Love that one.... SO special and SO important in our lives, especially now that our country is in such a mess... Someone asked me recently which I would choose, going back for a day in the past or going ahead for a day in the future... I chose the PAST since I am really into Genealogy --and would love to meet some of my past ancestors. BUT---I also don't really want to know the future since it looks so gloomy now... God--Help US.

Hugs,
Betsy

Alas there are times when I can not focus enough to do much reading, especially reading that requires paying attention. That's why I love hearing The Word read aloud. Bible Gateway offers this feature and it is much appreciated by me. The truth is that Jesus is the answer to every need, every problem, every sorrow and concern. God is good all the time.
