Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More cukes

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
A few degrees cooler this morning when I walked, 64 degrees, and mostly sunny but a few low hanging clouds and here and there.  A bit of a breeze once in awhile too.

Walked one of my town route walks.  I walked up and down the main road, then the two roads that run parallel on either side of the main road.
Then I walked around both cemeteries and down by the Drane house,
around the ball park loop, up the main road again and down the side one and home.

Kathy was out walking once again and she was the only person I saw.
Birds and rabbits were the only wildlife.

I walked 6.2 miles.

Sunset 8:13

Ken went up to Happy Trails and though I really wanted to go with him I had to get some stuff done around home.
Three loads of laundry used up all my line space.
Ironing and again I watched an episode of I Love Lucy. : )
Had a few phone calls to make.
The kind where you have to press numbers and then are on hold.
Not fun!!
It was fun though going outside in the garden and finding more cucumbers.
It's like a jungle out there and it is a job to find the cucumbers among all the vines.
Here's my haul for today.
26 cucumbers and one zucchini.
I made more cucumber salad - sure glad Ken loves that stuff because I'm getting tired of it. : )
I'll also give some cucumbers away.

Hope your day was a happy one.

I also don't like the kind of calls where you have to press numbers and then are on hold... it isn't fun at all!

Your cucumbers and zucchini look good.

All the best Jan

It got a bit warm during the day but yes, it was nice having it cooler in the morning.

Thanks for the offer of some cucumbers, they might be a bit mushy by the time they get here!!
Seriously, great crop!
Best to get the ironing done when it's just fresh off the line otherwise it takes longer to iron. At least you had some laughs while watching I Love Lucy!
Have a wonderful day :)

What a beautiful shot of the mist hovering over the pond!
You certainly will have plenty of cucumbers to use up!

I'd rather give you the cukes and you can pickle them. : )

Yes, especially if the clothes dry in a breeze.

My Monday was a busy one too! Just look at the cucumbers!! I was searching for one in the garden this morning but didn't find even one. Poppy hates cucumbers but I like them. He says his dad hated them too and called them 'hog food'.

Nice looking cucumbers. I like them too but I probably would tire of them after awhile. It's good that Ken likes the salad as much as he does.

Oh MJ you are so nice!!

I planted way too many plants. Right about now I feel like Poppy. : )

That's it though. I'm not making any more of the stuff. : )

Wish I lived close to you.....I'd love some cucumbers. Mine didn't do well at all. Beautiful pictures, as usual.
