Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Daisies

These are the daisies at the end of my driveway today.
No walk for me this morning because we left at 6:00 to drive down to Howard county which is 3 hours from home.  Had a doctors appointment.  Just a check up and follow up on my numb feet.  Can't see to find anything wrong with them except the numbness and since there is no pain I don't want to take any medicine.  Will just keep a check on them.  Otherwise I'm pretty healthy for an old lady. : )  Oh, and I got a shot too, a pneumonia vaccine and my arm is a tad sore.
Did a few other errands while we were down there too and then headed back home.  It was a quick trip there and back.

It was sunny, quite warm and humid with a temperature of 88.  Nice to get back home with temperatures in the low 70's.

On the drive I did a little knitting and finished one wash rag and started another.
After supper I did manage to get in a mini walk.  Went to the library and post office.  At least I got to walk a little.

When I got home I cut a few of my daisies and put in a vase on the dining room table.
That's it for today.
A happy day to you.

A CHANGE
In the past I've answered  questions in the comments at the end of the next days post.  Now I'm answering them right in comments in the Reply.  I'll try to reply to everyone who comments.
(Posting this again for those of you who haven't read the last two posts.)

Your daisies are absolutely beautiful.
That is a mystery about the numbness in your feet.

Beautiful daisies....love those flowers. Such a pretty header, too. So sorry to be so slack in visiting....life just gets in the way sometimes. HOPE you have a great day.

Thank you. At least my feet don't hurt and I can still feel even the slightest touch. It feels like I have a heavy pair or socks on when my feet are bare. It may be the result of some medicine I took a couple years back.

Thank you. Yes, life does that. : )

I was just going to ask you how your feet were doing. As you say at least they don't hurt. You love walking as much as I do so I can imagine how you would feel if it hurt to walk.
Love your daises! Mine are blooming now too.

Daisies are my favorite! Hope the numbness will go away soon. I have numbness in my hands but its due to a pinched nerve somewhere in my back but no pain.

I am thankful that there is no pain. This I can live with. Doesn't seem so bad compared to what other people have to deal with!
You'll have to plant some daisies at your new place. : )

Dr thought I might have a pinched nerve too but with no pain didn't think that was the problem and that it was in both feet. But you say you have no pain so who knows.

I had severe pain once, that finally went away but the numbness stayed.

Those daisies look lovely.

Do keep a watch on your feet, (I'm sure you will) but if you do not feel any pain and give them a knock you might not realise!

Take care

All the best Jan

I'm glad your feet are not a serious problem. Glad you're taking care of yourself. Enjoying your blogs. There's a heat wave here!

Love the daisies! Glad you had a good trip, accomplished some knitting while you were at it, and have a good medical report.

It is not that I don't feel pain, it that there is no pain associated with the numbness. I would and do feel pain if I hurt my feet. I can even feel a light touch and the doctor and it even tickled my feet when she touched them. My feet feel like I am wearing heavy socks even when barefoot.

I'm hot on your heals, "Old Lady!" I guess that makes me an old man soon. Hope that numbness improves. The daisies are so pretty.
