Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another sunny day

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
This morning it was 55 degrees, sunny and breezy.  I notice that when it is warm I say breezy and when it is cold I say windy! : )

My feet took me around the Farm Loop today.  Farmer Bill was planting in one of his fields and didn't see me walk by.

Another farmer was loading up a wagon of hay out of the red barn that I take a lot of pictures of.  He was young and I hadn't seen him before.

Lots of red winged black birds about as well as a few killdeers all upset with me as I walked by.  Must be nests around.

A couple of mallard ducks were in one of the farm ponds.  Picture not so good because I had to zoom in quite a bit.
Once back to town I made a loop around one of the cemeteries.  Saw Kathy walking around there too.

Walked 6 miles.
Found a penny.

Tried to get a few things done inside the house but it was a beautiful, sunny, cool day so I spent most of the day outside.  Still trying to get all the weeds out of the gardens.

I am happy to say that I've seen quite a few butterflies around on the flowers.  The daisies and cone flowers all have buds and should be blooming very soon now.  I like that they bloom all summer long.
Caught a picture of this butterfly with my phone in the back yard by the shed.
So nice being able to have the windows open with fresh air blowing through the house.  I love this time of year.

Haven't had any ice cream in the house for a while so we went out and got a couple half gallons after supper.  Nothing on sale this week so just got two.  I look forward to my bowl of chocolate chip mint later on this evening.

A happy day to you.

Oh how wonderful to step out into 55 degrees! It felt like a sauna when I took Mandy out this morning. I just love taking walks with you here.

Just been catching up. So sorry to hear about your step father but how wonderful that he knew the Lord. It is such a comfort to know that our loved ones are waiting for us.
