Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Top Done

I was surprised to see it raining when I got up this morning so I put on my rain gear and had a rainy morning walk.  In the picture above I just got to the edge of the main street in town.  I'm headed down the street on the left which takes me to one of the cemeteries.  Then up the road straight ahead past the little pond that leads to the other cemetery.

There was a truck at the pond this morning that emptied a huge amount of water from a tank that also had fish in it.  So now I'll probably see people fishing around the pond as well as the geese.

No others out walking on this rainy day.

Walked 6 miles.

As you probably expected another day of painting.  I got the rest of the top cabinets done and put back up and the bottoms are just going to have to wait.  I'm all painted out for a little while.  I really like the cabinets white and know I won't wait too long before I want to get the bottom ones done too.  At least when I do the bottoms I won't have to get up and down on the step ladder.
I really wanted to have them all done by the time Ken got back home tomorrow.  He was right when he said it was too much work for 2 days.

Took a while to get the kitchen back in order.  Took the time to clean all the counters and stove real good too.

Now I'm going to enjoy a nice relaxing evening.  : )

A happy day to you.

Thanks everyone for your kind words about my white kitchen.
Lisa - I'd love to have glass cabinet doors and have had them in a previous house.  Painting seemed like the cheapest way to go for a new look. : )

Stopping by from Ms. Melanie's place. Your cabinets are looking great. I'm hoping to do that someday to ours. Would love for you to link up with us on Friday for our Foto Friends. Hope you have a blessed Easter.

I'd love to take a walk with you too!
But my you've done a great job painting the cabinets and they do look like new. I like how they seem to compliment the plates.
Happy Easter!

You're amazing. I wishing had half of your energy. I didn't know you could paint a microwave.
Thanks for starting my morning with peaceful thoughts
Meghan is 26 now, how time flies. She works full time at the same company as her father. The 2 of them are together at lunch or whatever they talk about products, etc. It's like being with my Bruce when he was with another HVAC man.

The cabinets really look so nice. Makes me want to do mine, but I don't think they will come out as good as yours did. Makes it look like a different kitchen. Ken should be really surprised at such a nice job you did.
Happy Easter!!!

The white cabinets look really good. Are you painting over stain? I would love to paint ours. White makes the kitchen so bright and clean looking.

I wish the rain would move down here. We tried to sit outside yesterday, but there was so much pollen covering everything that we headed back inside.
I would like to see Ken's expression when he gets home and sees the "new" kitchen. It looks absolutely wonderful. I hope you now enjoy a well-deserved painting break.

Excellent job of painting! It looks so smooth, bright and cheerful.
I'm glad you're giving yourself a break before you do the bottom ones. Otherwise, an enjoyable project becomes intense labor!
