Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Kitchen - Before

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
It's dark when I first start out walking and today it was 49 degrees and sunny once the sun rose.  Very windy.

Walked all over town.  There must not be school today because I didn't see any school buses and even though there is never a lot of traffic there was even less today.

Saw lots of robins and a few rabbits but no people out walking.
Lots of signs of spring started to show up and some of the trees are even starting to get buds on them.

This tree is in my front yard

Walked 6.2 miles.

Made some cornbread muffins this morning.  No recipe for these.  Just used the jiffy box mix.
Also made yet another batch of chocolate chippers for Ken to take tomorrow.
I was going to hang my clothes out on the line to dry because it was a nice sunny day but it was so windy I decided not to.  I'd just be running outside all the time untangling the clothes.

Ken is going 4 wheeling on the ATV with some friends tomorrow and that is the day I am going to start the painting the kitchen cabinets project.  Don't know how much I'll get finished but I'll make a good start on them.
Here is a before picture.
I'll take a picture at the end of the day tomorrow no matter how much or little I get done.  I am anxious to get started.

It's been a beautiful sunny day though it has been windy.  Sat outside on the swing for a bit planning some future outside work to do.

A happy day to you.

My Three Happy Times
  1. Baking smells
  2. Sitting on the swing
  3. Thankful for a nice big yard

I have great respect for your motivation and energy, both in your walking and in keeping up your house and land. Mary Jo

I'm a wee bit envious of all your nice counter space! :) Our farm house is huge, but our counter space is tiny and gets so quickly cluttered. Have fun painting!

Isn't it lovely to see the buds & blooms on the trees! The schools are all out for Easter break here so we are making a few visits here & there with our three kids.
You have a spacious kitchen & hope all goes well with the re-do.

I'm looking forward to following along with your painting project. Your kitchen looks lovely now, but I am sure it will be even lovelier when your are done. The blue and white plates on the soffitt are such a pretty touch.

You're a good worker, so you'll get those cabinets painted! I like your L. baskets (I can't remember how to spell that but I used to sell them!) I like your plates, too!
We have SO MUCH SNOW today! Brrrrrr!

So excited for you, can't wait to see your "new" kitchen. I took my time painting mine, took almost a month but I was in no hurry. Happy Easter! The Lord has risen!

Good Luck with your painting.. I'm sure the kitchen will be gorgeous... OF course, I think that it is beautiful the way it is.... BUT--painting the cabinets will probably lighten up the area. Can't wait to see pictures...

I want some of your Chocolate Chippers.
Hugs,
Betsy
