Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny Saturday

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Up and outside at 7:00 this morning for my walk.  It was 35 degrees, dry and cloudy but by 8:00 the sun was shining and we've had a beautiful sunny day though on the cool side.

I walked the Farm Loop.  The farm down there on the right is the diary farm but all the cows were in the barn.  I think they can come in and out as they want to but they usually stay inside when its cold.  I saw a few chickens running about the yard but they were too far away and fast to get a picture.  Some of the barn cats of which there are many were out too.

Geese and a few mallard ducks were on the farm pond just past the buildings.  They all flew away as I walked past.
Lots of daffodils springing up all over the place now.  I like these all along the fence by Farmer Bill's place.
No people out and only a few cars passed me.
I walked around the industrial park on the way home to finish out my walk.
Walked 6.2 miles.
Found 3 pennies and a quarter in the parking lot of the Dollar General.

Doing a bit of cleaning this morning and got a couple of loads of laundry on the line and lunch time Ken came driving up the driveway with the very dirty ATV.
Nice to have him back home safe and sound after having a great time with the guys.  There were 8 of them. The first day he's gone, I like the day to myself and being able to take up the whole bed at night.  They second day I start missing him and I'm glad to have him back home by day three. : )

We went out to Brenda's for supper but didn't have pizza this time.  I had a nice big delicious salad.  We sat by the window looking out at the lake and we saw the first boat of the season go by.  Last year this time the lake was still frozen!!

I keep walking into the kitchen just to see the white cabinets and thinking how much better I like a white bright kitchen.  Ken walked in and said,  "The cabinets look brand new."  He like them a lot too. : )  He said he'd help me with the bottom ones when I take on the rest of the painting.  Thank you all for your kind words and compliments on the cabinets.

That's it for today.
Hope your day was a happy one and you smiled often.

BettyC -  Thanks for the update on Meghan.  Glad to hear she is doing well.  She is still the best hair washer ever!! Tell her I said hi. : )
I didn't paint the microwave - it was already white.

You're such an inspiration to get out and walk in all kinds of weather. I love to walk, too, but I wimp out when the weather is bad, especially cold. My old bones can't take it. ;-) HOPE you have a blessed Easter SONday!
