Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Dry and sunny

Ducks and geese at the dairy farm pond.
☁     ☀     ☀
When I looked out of the window upon waking up the sky was a beautiful pink, orange color but by the time I got outside to take a picture the color was already gone.   That's what I get for not getting outside early enough.  Didn't leave until 7:20.

It was 25 degrees with some clouds but mostly sunny with just a little breeze once in a while.

I walked the Farm Loop and  around the industrial park which I pass walking down the main road.

No other people out and walking or running.

Sure was nice out walking in dry sunny weather.
When I got back home I sat out in my swing for a few minutes enjoying the sun of my face.
 I walked 6 miles.
☀     ☀     ☁
Yesterday when Ken went to the auction with Edd he came home with a box of mostly junk but I did find a few little goodies in there.  I have a bigger bowl just like the pink one, the blue and white plate will go up in the kitchen and the little chick is just cute!!
Some of us will be bringing chili to church tomorrow and after the service there will be a chili cook off.  This morning I got my chili started in the slow cooker.  I'm making the same recipe that I always make but this time I'm leaving out the beans.   I've never made it without the beans but a few people prefer chili without beans, Ken being one of them.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Maybe I'll win a ribbon. : )

Just been hanging around home today.
In a little while we are driving over to Morgantown, WV (about on hour away) to have dinner at the Outback.  : )  Since we didn't go out for our anniversary this will be our anniversary dinner.

A happy day to you all.

Gorgeous photos as always. Love the geese. We had quite a snowstorm this morning but it all melted by mid-afternoon.
Enjoy your belated anniversary dinner!

I don't think I've ever been to Outback, we usually go to Longhorn

Happy belated anniversary!!
Good luck at the chili cook off... sounds like a fun event :)

It's so nice that you've had milder weather to walk in; it's been so cold here and the high yesterday was 28 :)

Wishing you a great weekend

So glad you had a dry sunny day. It looks pretty there at your swing...but 25 degrees stills sounds mighty cold.

I hope that your anniversary dinner was fun and delicious! Sounds like a nice walk that you had. I've been cooped up a bit and not feeling great and had planned on a hike today with some people. But instead I will take it a bit easier and hope to at least get in a long walk.

Our only Outback closed. We loved that place! Hope that you enjoyed a delicious meal. Now I'm wondering about the verdict on bean-less chili.

I hope your chili wins a ribbon for you! That little blue and white plate looks so familiar. I thought I had one like it, but it's not. Still...I just can't place it.
