Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Day Twenty of Thanks

Giving Thanks Day Post Twenty
Happy Trails

I am thankful for Happy Trails.
21 acres of our own personal park : )
The trails to walk along
Peace and quiet
The stream is dry now but still thankful that
sometimes we can hear the water running over the rocks.
That it is only 3 miles from home
Thankful for the view into town
Our little pond
Happy Trails is a great place and so glad we found it.
We bought the land first because we wanted
a little retreat from the crowds where we lived.
Then came to realize we wanted to be in this area always.
I thank God for leading us here. : )

Thought you might like to see the latest picture of the cabin.  We have some left over gray vinyl siding from the tractor barn (which you can see part of in the left of the picture) and have decided to use that up on the back of the cabin. We've painted it blue. I thought it came out looking great.  We have enough to finish the back.  Sides and front we will do with the shingles made from the pallets.

A happy day to you.

What a sweet little cabin. I did not know about your land in the country. I'm going to look back at your older post and try to catch up. There is nothing like a place in the country away from the crowds.

I could just hear Roy Rogers and Dale Evans singing as I read your post. If you're not in my age bracket and have no idea what I'm talking about, I'll try to explain someday. Your cabin looks just perfect! How wonderful to have 21 aces all to yourself! Have a blessed day.

The cabin is almost done! Great work! I get a kick out of your joy over Happy Trails. How many of us could have that, and never notice what a blessing it is? Your attitude is really what makes your life style so enjoyable to watch. MJ

HT looks like a very pretty and peaceful spot. The cabin is charming and it has been so fun to follow along with you as it came into existence.

I think The Lord found you a wonderful community. It is very special to read how you have both become such a part of the place. The siding looks good and the paint looks good.
