Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Excellent Report

☁     ☁     ☁     ☁
Left the house this morning on my walk at 7:00 and sunrise wasn't until 7:40 and it was 40 degrees.  Didn't see the sun rise today, nothing but clouds in the sky.

Walked first to the post office and then walked down the main road past the HT turnoff and then back to town.  Walked all around town, one of the cemeteries and the ball park loop where once again I saw the runner.

I watched a little chick-a-dee fly from tree to tree just ahead of me for about a half a block.  They are such cute little birds.

Walked 5.3 miles.

Ken requested French toast this morning for breakfast so I made some.  Ken, like most people I know put syrup on it but I like to sprinkle confectioners sugar on my French toast.

10:50 I walked on over to the dentist with the cookies I baked yesterday.  Ken and I both had appointments but I always go first to get it over with!!  My cleaning went GREAT.  No cavities, gums looking great and hardly any tarter buildup.  : )  I was in and out in 20 minutes.  All those brushings and daily flossings AND using the water pic are sure worth the little extra effort.  It is always such a great feeling walking OUT of the dentist office!  : )
Ken had a great report too. : )

Did a little cleaning this afternoon and then read.  Made some pizza dough and as usual Ken made the actual pizza which we had for supper.  We are a good team. : )  It was delicious as usual too.

I started the next scarf the other day and I'll do a little knitting on that this evening.  Looking forward to my ice cream.  : )

Hope your day has been a happy one and you smiled often.

I found the perfect quote for me today!!  : )

No, my friend, I am not drunk.
It is that I have been to the dentist
and I need not go again for six months.
It is a beautiful thought.

Glad your dentist appointment went well. It is such a relief to walk out of that office!
Chickadees are cute little birds and so tame too. When we were raking leaves by the bird feeders yesterday they kept whizzing by our heads to get to the feeders.
Have a good day!

I have to visit the dentist by the end of the year. First year I've had dental insurance and I've never used it.

I love the look of your blog today with the autumn leaves. Today's shot of the wall with the berries is beautiful!
