Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Goldenrod

This road leads up to the drive way at Happy Trails.
Happy Trails is all along the right here.

It was 60 degrees this morning and cloudy and I walked the Farm Loop.

The cows were out side at the dairy farm and cow number 29 and her family were out in their field too.

Stopped to talk to Farmer Bill.

When I got back to town there was a bit of commotion because of a car accident.  Luckily it was just a fender bender and no one was hurt.  Not sure who ran into who but it was between a pick up truck and a  Frito-lay delivery truck.

Made a loop around the ball park and then home.
Walked 5.4 miles.

Another day up at Happy Trails.  Weather report said rain and the morning started cloudy but then it was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies.

We got the roof on the bump out entrance done and also the railing.  The post looks like plain wood but it is painted a tan color.  Those are the three colors of the cabin.  Red, Blue, and Tan.
I was just going to stay half a day but ended up staying the whole day.

Still have that book to finish.
Hope your day is a happy one and you smiled often.

Kim - Yes, that is blue nail polish.  It is a real pretty light blue.  I am wearing it now and on each ring finger I've put a midnight blue color on.  I noticed your purple polish when you were holding your ice cream cone. : )  Very pretty.

The cabin is so cute! I can see why you stayed all day!

The cabin is looking cuter and cuter. Can hardly wait to see it when it's all done, but I will exercise patience.
Your manicure sounds very pretty. I wonder if you would consider putting a picture of it on your blog?? I have been so tempted to buy some blue nail polish, but haven't worked up the courage yet. This might be just what I need to take the plunge :).

The goldenrod is really pretty. Love how the cabin is coming.

I'm glad that the accident wasn't serious. We had a horribly tragic one here last week, a wonderful 26 year old woman on a bike was hit and killed by a car - broad daylight, long straight road. I guess the driver was not paying attention. He is charged with manslaughter but it is too late for her.

Love all your photos. The goldenrod is beautiful here now too.
You sound a lot like me when it comes to reading a book. I hardly have read a complete book in the last two months. Just no time!

The Goldenrod picture is one that should be enlarged and hung on a wall.
