Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Number 29

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
I walked around the Farm Loop and around the ball park loop this morning.  It was  60 degrees and the sun was shining but there were a few low hanging clouds around too.
Passing by the family of cows I noticed that one of them is cow number 29. : )  She is the one that came up to me by the fence and licked my hand.  This was her back in October of 2013 the day she licked my hand.
And here she is today just about 2 years later.  I wouldn't have known it was her except for the tag in her ear.  I put my hand out to her but didn't get a lick this time.
George was out in his yard about to get into his car and we had a short chat.  Lisa was out running and stopped for a chat with her too.

Saw the deer and her two young ones out again by the corn field and a ground hog was there too.

I walked 5.5 miles.

I've been home today trying to get some cleaning done but not having much luck.  I keep getting distracted by better things to do.  : )  Like being outside in the yard.  Got some more weeding done and have dead headed LOTS of daisies. Sat out on the porch and knitted for a while too.

When Ken came home we went up to HT for an hour or so.  Didn't do any work except get a few flat stones to bring home for the patio we are making out back.

Picked tomatoes from our garden and made BLT sandwiches for supper.
That's been my day so far.
Hope your day was sunny and bright.
happyone : )

Your tomatoes look so so yummy! Love the low hanging clouds...isn't it just lovely to be outside that time of day. I had to chuckle that you tried to get some housework done today but kept getting distracted by better things...like being outside. :) That is SO me! We've got to take advantage of these days while we have them. :)

Your tomatoes look great. Cow 29 really has grown! I was trying to do some housework yesterday too but it was too nice a day to spend inside. Take care.

Love your shots of the morning... very pretty.
This post made me smile, for I too have been dead-heading daisies, and I have a lot more to do.

Your tomatoes look great. I love the simplicity of summer dining. BLTs and corn on the cob are one of my favorite summer meals.
