Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rock Crusher

Went to bed late last night (2:30) and didn't get up till 7:30.  Planned to walk later in the day but never did get around to it.  That's what happens, if I don't go in the morning I usually don't walk at all.  Well I guess we all need a day off once in a while.

We made it official today, had the closing on the land and Happy Trails is now 5 acres bigger than it was.

Later in the afternoon Ken went up to HT to hook the back hoe back onto the tractor because he has to dig a ditch for a friend tomorrow.  Before he did that though he took a couple of videos of the rock crusher working and put it on YouTube.  Here are the two links if you want to see it.  I'm sure you will like it!!  It is really cool.

Rock Crusher Part 1

Rock Crusher Part 2

While he was doing that I got the lawn mowed back at the house and then weeded one of the back gardens.

We had grilled cheese sandwiches for supper sitting on the front porch. : )

Hope your day has been a happy one.

Mom Update : )
I talked to my mom on the phone this afternoon.  She is doing well.  So nice to talk to her.  We are planning a visit in August.  Sunday is her Birthday - 85.

Good to know your mum is doing well. My mum will be 85 in December, it's a good old age, isn't it?

We both enjoyed seeing the 1920 rock crusher. We both want one! LOL It wasn't as noisy as I had thought it would be. Great set-up! Nice job on the vids, too.

That second video is really cool -- and a little scary. I hope he keeps his fingers well clear of that crushy action.
