Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Old Barn

An old barn that has seen better days
☁     ☁     ☁     ☁
A warm 56 degrees and cloudy this morning when I first started out walking.  Went to the post office first to drop off some mail.  Then walked here and there and everywhere around town.

A few geese were on the pond.  I took a few pictures but they didn't come out all that good.  This is the best one and it is a bit blurry.  Like the picture though.
Headed on over to the industrial park and walked up and down some of the streets there.  Just as I took this picture it started raining but it only lasted about 3 minutes. Not even enough time to get wet.  I found a quarter in the parking lot in the left of the picture. I find coins there quite often.  Maybe I should walk there more often. : )
Didn't see anyone else out.  Just me and the birds and a rabbit.

I walked 6.2 miles.

Sewed a lot of weave-it squares together today and I'd say it's about half done now. The sun came out in the afternoon but it was very windy.  Ken went outside to wash the car.  I went out too and was going to do some more garden work but even with the sun it was much too windy so I went back inside.

We made homemade pizza for supper.  As usual I made the dough and Ken made the actual pizza.

Hope your Friday as been a good one.

John, I don't really have a recipe for Lasagna.  I just layer noodles, sauce, Parmesan cheese, ricotta, and mozzarella until the baking dish is full.   The sauce can be from a can, homemade and without or without meat.  I don't put meat in mine.

We had some rain here overnight, and rain was falling when I woke this morning. I love to hear the rain! That parking lot sounds like a good place for finding coins. Not sure that anyone is giving that barn any TLC. I could always eat pizza, but tonight we had fish! Enjoy your Friday night!

Sounds as if you made good progress in sewing up the weave it squares. It was chilly today, due to the wind. Have a wonderful weekend.

Interesting old barn. Always makes me wonder what stories it could tell of days gone by.

Hope your weekend is less windy.

Think of the stories that old barn could tell! But good luck getting a word out of it!
