Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Outside and home

☁     ☁     ☁     ☁
I am very happy to say that the temperature was 22 degrees with just a slight breeze and I didn't even mind that it was cloudy because I got to walk outside this morning.  : )

Made my way over to the post office and mailed off two Netlix movies.  Most of the streets in town were clear with just a few patches of ice here and there and the ones ice covered I avoided.
Walked up to one of the cemeteries and could walk half way around it where the path was cleared.  Saw the woman with the ear phones again and she was the only other person I saw out walking.

I continued walking down the main road towards HT and then turned off on the road to HT but only walked a little way down there before turning around and heading back home.
I walked 6.2 miles.

We've been home all day just doing stuff around the house.  Some cleaning, reading, knitting and enjoying our day. : )

Hope your day has been a happy one.

So glad that you were able to get outside and walk today... and happily avoided any mishaps :)
Ice is not good... not for walking or driving in, but something we contend with during the winters, I'm afraid :)

Thank you so much for posting that last little thought!! I really needed that today!!!

Smiles :)

Are your temps much lower than usual? It seems wild that it is as cold as it is there. This has to come to an end. Naturally, you're out walking. =^>

I'm sorry about that deletion after the name Carroll. My husband had been signed in for his blog on wood crafts that he does and I didn't notice that until after I had posted the comment.

It is currently 53 here at 8:30 p.m., but I understand that is going to change tomorrow...and that starting in the afternoon we will have another 6-10 inches of snow through Thursday afternoon.

Your quote at the end of today's post makes me think of a song that I sing...Someone is Praying for You. :)

That's a very sweet quote at the end of your post! Way to go, walking pro!
We woke up to snow again, but next week we'll have some warmer temps. Some people don't clear their sidewalks here so walking around our little corner of suburbia can be tricky!

Glad the temp has warmed up some and you can walk outside! Sounds like a good day you're having. :) I don't think I've mentioned yet how much I love your header photo. It's beautiful!

Light rain here today. This is the first day in awhile I haven't had to be somewhere else and I'm enjoying just being home, K-love on the radio, birds in the backyard...
