Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

☀    ☁          ☁
This morning I left the house at 6:45 and it was 22 degrees, cloudy and calm.  Since there was no wind I thought this would be a good morning to walk the Farm Loop.  As most of you know this is my favorite route to walk.  It is so peaceful and I love being out there on my own.  I walked down the main road for almost a mile and then turned on to this road which passes Farmer Bills farm.  Walked up here for a while and
turned left onto this road.
Passing by one of the farm ponds I spotted three mallards.
Just past the ducks I turned left down another road by the school which brought me back to town again to the main road.  Once I got to town I walked around the two cemeteries and then home.
Didn't see anyone else out this morning.
I walked 6.2 miles.

This morning I made the last batch of the heart sugar cookies for Sunday.  Tomorrow I will ice them.  That should be fun and I look forward to it.

Mid morning the sun came out to brighten up the day. : )  Pretty warm out too but that is all due to change this evening.  They tell us snow and cold weather is coming our way again.

Walked to the library for my book club meeting this evening.  We discussed the book I finished reading a couple of weeks ago, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin which I really liked.  Everyone else liked it a lot too.
I always have to leave a little bit early because Wednesday we go to church so Ken picks me up and we go from there.  At church this evening we learned that Krista is in the hospital having her baby. : )

So now we are back home and I'm just about to go and have my ice cream.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments yesterday and really thanks for all the times you comment.  Thanks too for all of you who take the time to read my blog but don't comment.  Blogger friends really are special people and I'm thankful for each of you.

Glad you were able to get out and walk! 22 still sounds awfully cold to me though. I don't think I have the right clothes for that kind of cold! Have fun with your cookie decorating. I made heart cookies for my sunday school kids but didn't frost them. Stay warm!

Hi Happyone, Here is what I enjoy about your photography ... Take that first picture ... Most people would walk by that and never think of taking a picture. But what a beauty your photo is and it celebrates the natural scenery around your area. In my opinion, great work. Thanks for sharing your photos and blog. I appreciated and agree with your comments about bloggers! Have a great day. John
