Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Puzzles

I'm beginning to think I'll never get to walk outside again.  I sure do miss my morning walks.  Another basement walk again today.  It was warmer hovering around 33 degrees and raining but was afraid there would be some ice around yet.
The spare room is in the basement  and I have a bird theme of decorating there and pass by all the birds each loop around.  Since I can't take an outside picture here is one of the birds I pass by on top of a cabinet.  I got it years ago at a craft show.
I took the latest puzzle apart today and put all the pieces in a zip lock bag before putting them back in the box.  This way I won't lose any of the pieces.
I ended up starting number three puzzle today but didn't get very far on it.
Decided to keep the cow puzzle and Ken glued it on a piece of gator board.  Letting it dry a day and then brushing on a protective coat of some stuff I can't remember the name of but it is for puzzles.  A while back I did a bird puzzle and we are saving that one too. I'll hang it in the spare room.  Will take pictures of them once they are hanging on the wall.

Since the holidays I haven't been doing my exercise DVD and I finally got back to it today.  I have a feeling I'm going to be a bit sore tomorrow.  I took a picture of Margaret Richards and Body Electric girls, who I have been doing these exercises with for years. : ) I have four programs that I recorded about 20 years ago.
I got some house cleaning done today too.  Didn't get all I wanted done but made a good start.

It is raining out this evening and it's supposed to get cold so things may all freeze up by morning again.

Hope your day has been a good one and you smiled often.

There was ice over our way...and plenty of it...this morning. My husband works in Morgantown and he actually went in two hours later than normal to give the roads some time to be treated and melted. I am sure you miss your walks outside, but I applaud you for walking in the basement every day. I'll be looking forward to seeing those puzzles when you have them hung!

Have a great remainder of the week, Happyone. :)

Your basement birdie is a cutie. I look forward to seeing the puzzles hanging on the wall.
With all of the exercise you get I can't imagine you will be sore.
Hope you're back to outdoor walking soon.

It is good that you have an indoor place to walk when you aren't able to walk outside. Do you frame the puzzles when you hang them? That is always a challenge for me. Yours will look really good on the wall.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you can soon get back to your outdoor walks in the morning. Although it was raining here today, the temperatures are slowly going up. I'm glad you can walk in your basement, although I imagine that gets monotonous after a few laps.

Good morning, it was icy here yesterday too. I hope it warms up some today.. I like your cute bird.. Framing the puzzles sounds like a nice idea, I would like to see the bird puzzle framed. A great quote for the day.. Have a happy Tuesday!

Enjoying the puzzle info. I like the way you store them carefully and also the idea of properly preparing one for wall display. Very nice. Hope you can get back to your regular walks soon.

I'd be plenty sore after that workout, I think! I have a torn rotator cuff that resulted from a hiking fall back in September, so I have to be really careful with anything above shoulder height. Usually, the pain reminds me quickly enough if I try something like that. Art
