Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Inside walk

A pile of pallets.
Took this picture Sunday walking in the industrial park.

More snow again this morning and this time it was falling on hidden ice in places so I decided I'd better have a basement walk today.
I put a load of laundry in the washing machine and walked while the clothes were being washed.  Passed by the washer many times.
I sort the dirty clothes into these milk crates and one full crate is a good load size.
After walking just about 3 miles the clothes were done and I stopped to hang them in the drying room.
I walked the other three miles later in the day so I got my full 6 mile walk in.

Another day at home to get some cleaning done.  Read a little bit too and I'm just about done with the book I'm reading.  Got a call from the library and the next book club book is ready for me to pick up.  Didn't make it over to pick it up though.

My Mom has been to the doctors and has a problem with a valve in her heart. They put her on a heart monitor and she has to go back to the doctors tomorrow.  I ask that you please put her in your prayers.  Thank you.

Time to get supper started so off I go.
Hope your day has been sunny and bright.

John - I've walked on many different walking paths and routes over the years.  This is the fourth place we have lived that I've been walking.  My coins have been collected all over Maryland. : )

I'm surely sorry to hear about your mom, Happyone. I will be adding her to my prayer list...Happyone's mom. :)

I love the way you have your clothes sorted in the milk crates! I use one of the three divider carts that I purchased at Walmart. If I had a separate area for laundry (my washer/dryer are in the kitchen...the hamper in the bathroom) I would definitely switch to what you are doing. I LOVE your drying area!

Hi Karen - the past two weeks, I have not been a very good blogger, so much on my mind. Perhaps blogging will help me refocus. Reading your blog always makes me happy! I love how neat and organized you are and you are still a great example and role model for me! Thanks and have a great week!

I have your mother in my thoughts and prayers.

I know someone who actually creates furniture pieces from pallet wood! She is a bit selective about the pieces she uses, but does some beautiful things.

Oh my, so much potential use for those pallets! Sure don't like seeing them in a heap like that. :(
Such a spacious area you have inside for doing your laundry!

Prayers for your mom.

Glad you had a chance to speak with your step-dad on the phone. I know you enjoy your conversations, but sorry that your Mom has a heart valve problem. I am praying for her, your step-dad, you and Ken, your children and grandchildren. Please keep us updated. Thanks, Mary Jo

That is some pile of pallets.
Guess you know where a resource is, if you decide to do any of those pallet projects :)

Best wishes and prayers for your mom.
Hope all goes well with her tests, and they are able to take care of her.

I, too, will be keeping your mom in my prayers.

A very impressive laundry sorting system you have and I like all the space you have there for drying the clothes.
