Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Gift Received : )

 Finished the Puzzle
☃     ☃     ☃     ☃
This morning was the coldest day at 4 below zero.  A little windy and the sun was out, but still too cold to walk outside so I had another 6 mile walk in the basement broken up into 3 segments.

I thought about starting Christmas puzzle number 3 but decided to wait a few days before tackling it.  Think I'll wait that long? : )

This afternoon was Kirsta's baby shower.  Couldn't take my car (she doesn't do snow) so I went in the truck.  About 25 woman came out for it and it was held at church.  Played some of those silly baby shower games that I could do without, but still it was a fun time.  Krista received so many cute, adorable and wonderful gifts and we all oohed and aahed at the appropriated times.
Here is Krista opening the her gift from me.  Mine was the second one she opened which I was happy about because I couldn't wait to give it to her. : )  She loved it.  : )
hat and little slippers
sweater
Cute little pacifiers made out of jumbo life savers and jelly beans
were on all the tables.
The shower lasted a couple of hours and I was home again a little after 5:00.  We decided to go up the road to Annie's Kitchen and have supper.

The usual evening for us of reading, knitting and a little television.

Hope your Saturday was sunny and bright.
happyone : )

The finished puzzle is so pretty!
Krista looks very happy with the sweater, hat and booties you made for her baby. :) Cute 'pacifiers' on the table. What a clever idea.

I'm thinking you won't wait that long. I'm amazed at how quickly you finish your puzzles. This one is really pretty.
How neat to see live scenes from the baby shower. She will treasure your gift long after the baby grows out of it.

A puzzle is what I need to do. My mother-in-law was great at doing large puzzles too and she hated taking them apart so instead she glued and framed them. It made it to the low 30's today although you would have thought it was the first day of Spring. The birds were flying around and happily chirping. Our cat stayed out a lot longer than he has in over a week. I can do without the sub-zero temps and wind but the 20's and 30's are bad at all when it's not windy. Have a blessed week!
