Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Deleted and Restored

Last evening my blog was hijacked by Vindicosuite.  When someone would click on my blog they would immediately go over to some advertising page and it just took over my blog.

I ended up deleting my entire blog last night and this morning I restored it and all seems to be well.  I thought I'd lost my entire blog and would have to start a new one.  Thankfully everything is fine again.

This morning we woke up to snow coming down.  I would normally walk in snow but I was afraid I wouldn't see the ice underneath and didn't want to take a chance of falling so I didn't go out to walk.

I got my 6 miles in though by walking down in the basement.  I went down three times during the day and walked 2 miles each time.

I took this picture the other day
of some ice crystals formed in the mud in my back yard.

I packed up a suitcase today because tomorrow I'm going on a little trip to Pittsburgh with a dozen women from church for our little getaway.  Leaving tomorrow morning and coming back Saturday.  I'm bringing my laptop and if I get some time I'll do a little blogging. We will be going to the PPG Place to see the Gingerbread Houses on display, do some shopping and to see a play, The Christmas Carol.  I'm sure there will be good food to eat and much talking and laughing.  I'm really looking forward to it.  Should be a lot of fun. : )

It's been snowing all day but we don't have that much snow, just an inch or so.  I've gotten a good start on those Christmas cards, made another batch of Pumpkin Bread and did some cleaning.

I had quite a list of things to do today and I got them all done.

Hope your day as been a happy one.

How awful about your blog being hijacked. I was visiting you last night and had that advert pop up a few times. I couldn't figure out what was going on and thought maybe I had done something inadvertently. How scary! I'm glad you were able to get it sorted out and hope you don't have any more problems. I was visiting someone else's blog today and ran into the same thing. Can't remember now who it was.
Sounds like perfect timing to get away for awhile. Your trip sounds like a lot of fun and a nice way to enjoy the holiday season. Enjoy!!

I was thinking about you today and wondered how much snow you got. My father-in-law lives out next to the Garrett County line and he normally has a lot more snow than we do. We didn't receive enough to even cover the ground, but it was pretty to watch it falling.

I am really sorry to hear about your blog being hijacked. That is so sad that people have nothing better to do with their time. I didn't notice any ads last evening, but this morning I saw some ads on another blog whom I've never seen have advertising before. I am glad you were able to get yours restored.

Your trip to Pittsburgh sounds like a lot of fun. Stay safe and have a wonderful time!

This post blew me away twice! First, when I heard the horror of the blog-jacking. That's scary business. I can imagine how you felt. Glad you got it back though! Second, when I saw the incredible photo of the ice crystals... amazing!

Hi Happyone, Those snow crystals are just amazing. You should enter that photo in a contest! Some very neat photos yesterday, as well, especially the reflection! You definitely have a great eye for photos! So glad you got your blog working ... Your blog is one I don't want to miss! Have a good day and thanks for sharing. John

Betsy had the same problem with her blog, but we were able to fix things by clearing the history in her browser. Something like that is no fun at all. Your macro of the ice crystals is amazing. Enjoy your trip.

The ice in the mud is quite interesting. Glad you still got your walking done, in spite of the snow.

My goodness, why can't people just leave other people's stuff alone? How in the world were you able to restore your blog?

On a cold night in the mountains a few years ago, I saw those same ice formations in the morning when I reluctantly crawled out of my tent.
