Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

I am thankful for all my friends.
Old friends, new friends and all my blogger friends
and friends I've yet to meet.
Thank you all for being my friends.
: )

I wore my rain pants and yellow slicker when I walked on this misty rainy morning.  The temperature was 39 degrees.

I walked up and down all the streets all over town and didn't see anyone else out walking.   Waved to all the usual people in cars and the bus drivers.  One man poked his head outside of his house when I walked by to say hi.

I found a dime today. : )
Walked 6.2 miles.

It's been a rainy day with some snow showers thrown in the mix too and the temperature has stayed in the mid 30's.

Did a little cleaning but mostly I've been reading and knitting.  I am happy to say that I got passed a part on the baby sweater that was a little tricky keeping in the pattern.  Have another tricky part coming up soon but I'm trying not to anticipate a problem and just taking it a step at a time.

Every night this week at church Don Williams will be doing one of his chalk drawings so we are off to see that later.  He has come every year for the past 22 years.  Don't know if we'll go every night, but will go to a couple at least.  On the way we will stop and have supper first at Brenda's which most of you know is half prize pizza night.

May you realize all your blessings today.
happyone : )
Hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don't unravel.

Edit: -  Temperatures getting colder and roads getting icy.
We decided to stay home this evening.
We had home made pizza instead.

We're about as cold here as it looks in your photos. I'm not as ambitious as you are and haven't gotten out into the yard. One of these days soon I'm going to have to get busy, cold weather or not.

Thankful to have you for a blog friend too :)

I'm so glad that you had a nice walk today.
I'm staying indoors...it's been really cold here. It started out at 8 degrees Fahrenheit today.

Sending wishes for a good week.

I am thankful for you too...you have been keeping me motivated to keep getting out on cold days and wet weekends. Rainy day photos can be just as pretty as sunny day photos... thank you! I am getting closer to finishing the book I have been reading too. :)

Wish I had your drive to walk. I do the treadmill, but no where near the mileage you do. It has been so cold I have not been out of the house since last Friday. Plan to get out tomorrow. Keep inspring me.

Aww, thanks Karen. I am so thankful for your friendship too. You are such an inspiration to all of us here.
I think that is so cute how the man popped his head out to say hi to you. I have a feeling you are known around town as a friendly lady.
Sounds like a good call with staying in for pizza tonight.

You are ambitious with those daily walks. In my world, you would need a good heavy parka to stay warm these days.

Icy roads are no fun! My hubby would applaud your decision to stay home. So do I! Such a loyal walker you are. You would be missed by your neighbors if you didn't walk. Take care, and stay safe and warm.

Isn't it amazing how other bloggers whose blogs you read become like 'friends' after awhile of reading each others' blogs!

Hi Happyone, I see another one of my favorite bloggers, Kerri Farley, made a comment ... I will have to say I second her comment. : ) I have another question for you ... Your photos show that you are always looking around you and enjoying the sights on your walks. How can you do that and still find the nickles and dimes on the ground? :-) Thank you for your comments on my blog. John

Wow it's warm where you are. We haven't been up to even 30 for several days now. Perhaps tomorrow.
