Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
A bit chilly this morning with a temperature of 34 degrees and we had a light frost.  It was dark, still and very clear when I left and looking up I saw millions of stars still shining.

Walked over to the Laundromat and hung up a poster on the bulletin board telling about a special event at church.
Continued my walk around town and over by the industrial park.
Didn't see anyone else out.  It was just me and the rabbits. : )

I like how the wood is piled in this yard.  Looks like a fort.  Wouldn't that be fun to play in if you were a kid?  : )
I found a penny, tails up.
Walked 6.4 miles
Sunrise: 7:40 - Most of my walk is now in the dark!!!
Sunset:6:21

It warmed up nicely and by afternoon it was a beautiful sunny day and 70 degrees.  I got some laundry done and hung up on the line but it was too nice to stay indoors doing housework so after lunch we went up to Happy Trails and spent the afternoon there.
A few more trees got cut down and chipped and the chips spread out along my trail.  Only about 10 more feet to go.  I started another trail awhile back so I'll finish that one next.

I spent some time just walking around the road and trails.  That is my favorite thing to do up there.  It is just so peaceful and I love listening to the quiet : )  I saw 5 deer.

Came home supper time and after we got cleaned up went to Brenda's for half price pizza night.
On the way home we stopped at the Shop and Save and stocked up on ice cream because it is on sale.  I'm sure looking forward to my ice cream tonight.  Chocolate chip mint.

And that's been my day.
It was a good one.
Life is Good.
Hope your day has been sunny and bright.

I never really look for anything.
What God throws my way comes.
I wake up in the morning and whichever
way God turns my feet, I go.

Betsy - No, way too far to walk to church.  It's 20 miles away.  No I've never posted a picture of my church.  Is not a very interesting building.  The building isn't much but it is filled with the love of God inside. : )

An ice cream sale! :-9 That is quite an impressive stash of firewood. Someone intends to stay warm this winter. You two had a gorgeous day for being productive at HT. It reached 80 degrees here this afternoon, and was a beautiful day all the way around.

Hi Happyone, Just love that picture you took up at Happy Trails. Wow, almost all the leaves are gone! And it looks like a little bit of steam coming off the pond ... a crisp morning indeed. Sounds like you had a good day.

It's a wonderful time of year!
We've had brisk mornings here, as well, and I love turning on the gas fireplace in the mornings to take the chill off the house.
Have you had to turn your furnace on yet?

Enjoy this day.

Looks like it was a chilly morning. Having a wood burner ourselves makes us take notice, and maybe a bit envious, when we see a good stack of logs. At least we have enough wood to have some nice fires in the winter. It's wonderful to be warm!

Thanks for your response about your church. Had no idea it was so far from your home. Must be in another town.... The building certainly doesn't matter --since the love of God and each other is INSIDE.

Another blog friend of mine did a post about going on the same train ride that you all went on recently... Think they went on a Sunday... Small world, huh????

Hugs

I remember once building my young son a type of fort out of our firewood. He enjoyed playing in it for a while.
