Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A few more photos from yesterday

A footbridge we walked over yesterday at Herrington Park
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤

A warm 50 degrees this morning with clouds and it was a bit windy.  Sun was out when I was back home but it's been very windy all day.

Another random walk around town and down past the turn off to HT and back again.

I've been walking around town because it is pretty dark when I start and it is light in town with the street lights on.

Saw two other people out today, Lena walking her dog and another man walking a white dog who I see once in a while but don't know his name.

I walked 6 miles.

Here are a couple more pictures from yesterday.

I home during the day today while Ken went back to HT for the day.  I had some things to get done around the house.  I also spent a good bit of time writing letters.

It is book club meeting time at the library right after supper this evening.  We will be discussing The Rope which I read a while ago and I liked. It seems most of the books we read I'm really not that crazy about. If I don't like the next couple I just might quit going.  The book for next month is The Goldfinch and I like it.  It is kind of long winded though and the book could have been a couple of hundred pages shorter in my opinion.  I have about 100 more pages to go.

That's about it for today.  I'll walk to the library and then Ken will pick me up and we will head out to church.

A happy day to you my friends.
Smile often - it will make you happy.

A little bit different from the usual quotes I post. : )

Anytime I see someone blocking the aisle in the supermarket
while talking on a phone,
I want to ram that person with my shopping cart.

Kim - No, we won't be going for a walk after lunch.  We will be there for dinner.  : )

I have been hoping to see a shot similar to the one you have of the colorful trees. Nothing here has left a strong enough impact to make me pull the car over and capture the image... yet.

Oh boy, that's what happens when I read too many posts at once. I DO see now that you will be meeting for dinner, not lunch.
I have read a lot of good things about The Goldfinch. It's on my list to read one of these days. I hope you find the book club selections more to your liking in the future.

Your trees are SO pretty---way ahead of ours. We only had 2 colder nights --and now it is warm again... We did finally get about 3 inches of rain --so that is good...

Loved reading about Herrington Park. Looks like a neat park... You do live in a beautiful place.

I understand the sentiments in your quote completely. I'm enjoying your autumn shots, the colours are always beautiful at that time of year.

The days are growing shorter, aren't they? Do you ever walk with a flashlight? Lovely pictures of a beautiful park!

I so wish I could walk as much as you do. The sights you encounter are endless as well as magnificent. Looking at your pictures it feels like I'm on the walk myself minus the exercise :\ In the midst of God's handiwork, it's priceless. Thanks for always sharing :)

I love the autumn leaves! Sounds like a fun getaway with the ladies of your church. Happy to have a few minutes early this morning to check in and say hello. I hope to be back in blog land regularly soon.!

I'm so envious of the beautiful fall color. Ours is a few weeks off still, and even at that won't be nearly as spectacular.
