Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

I see lots of rabbits every day but this one wanted his picture taken. : )
✼     ✼     ✼     ✼

There was a mix of sun and clouds and the temperature was 55 degrees this morning on my walk.  Another great morning to be outside.

I walked all over town.  In this picture I've just walked around one of the cemeteries and I'm
heading back down the hill to Main St.  I saw Peggy and Saxon walking around the cemetery and also another woman with a little white dog but don't know her name.

A lady in black stopped to ask me where the library was.  When I say in black I mean ALL in black.  A black car with back interior, black hair, hat, shirt, pants and even black nail polish.  I couldn't see her shoes but I'm sure they were black too.  When I told Ken, he asked if she seemed depressed.  : )   No, not at all, she was very nice, happy and liked to talk.

As always I enjoyed my walk.
I walked 6.5 miles.

Ken went to Happy Trails to harvest some more stone this morning.  He's getting some big ones for the water feature.
I took this picture the other day of the work so far on the patio.
This one I took this morning.  It doesn't look like all that much has been done, but more dirt and rocks for fill have been added, I've transplanted the grasses to the front yard, and Ken has dug the hole for the water feature there on the left.
Here's a better shot of where the little pond will be.
I mowed the lawn this morning while Ken was at HT.
He's still up there now but should be home anytime.
I'm posting a bit earlier than I usually do because after lunch we are headed out to the Carnival/County Fair at the fairgrounds and will probably not feel like posting when we get back.  In the evening there will be a demolition derby there too that we will stay to watch.
It should be a fun afternoon.  Our church has a booth at the fair and we will stop by there too.

Hope you have a happy day.

You are inspiring me to walk longer and farther. I think it will be good therapy. Love the rose of Sharon fence picture.

Wow! The patio is really looking beautiful.
There is so much work that has gone into it so far, and it's looking so good!!

It will be nice to have a weekend night for you to be together, and relax, and have some fun.

Oh, that little bunny is so cute! I have a love/dislike relationship with them, since they love to eat our flowers. :-( I love them when they eat the dandelions, though!

The patio work is really coming along. Ken must have some great biceps to be lifting and hauling all that rock! :-D

Hope you had a fun time at the fair.
