Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Wednesday

What a great place to be a cow. : )
♡     ♡     ♡     ♡
This morning I walked around the farm loop and then around town.  The temperature was 60 degrees and there were sun and clouds, some of the clouds were hanging very low and I got to walk through them.
The sun is shining where I'm walking and you can see the low hanging clouds ahead.  After walking through the cloud I was back in the sun again.
Here is the red barn I always walk past but today the picture is of the side of it as I walk by.
Then I walked up to the door and took a picture of the inside of the barn.
I saw a fox this morning and the first one I've seen around here.  I used to see them quite often where I used to live.  The one today was coming down the street on the opposite side I was, and at first I thought it was a dog.  Then it ran across the street and chased a squirrel.  I thought he would get it but the squirrel made it up the tree.  I was rooting for the fox.  Then the fox spotted me and ran farther in the woods.  It all happened in a matter of seconds so didn't get to take any pictures.

I walked 6.3 miles.
Oh by the way, the month of May I only found 3 cents.

Right after breakfast we went out to get a few errands done.
Then Ken dropped me off home so I could get some things done around the house and he went up to HT to get the ATV loaded in the back of the truck for his trip tomorrow for a day of doing men stuff with some friends. : )  I whipped up a batch of Chocolate Chippers for him to share with the guys.

There are eight of these pretty bushes growing by the shed in my yard.  The flowers I think look like azaleas but the leaves don't look right.  Does any one know what it is?

That's it for the day so far.  Hope your day has been a happy one.

Three Thankful Things
  1. That I'm able to walk 6 miles every morning without any trouble
  2. Comfortable walking shoes
  3. Pretty flowers and pretty weeds too

  2. I like the caption on your picture of the cows in the pasture. I don't remember what dairy advertised its 'contented cows', but these look like they would fit that category. I can't help you identify your plant, but the blossoms are gorgeous.

  3. It is pretty...hope someone knows...it looks like some variety of azalea or rhododendron. Now that does look like beautiful meadow for cows. Hope you have some fun planned for when Ken is off having fun. John wants you to know that he found a dime. Seems as if everyone keeps close tabs on change in your corner.

  9. Look at those beautiful cows! I always enjoy seeing the babies, too. :)

Was it eerie to walk through the low clouds?

Sure do like the red barn and the pretty pink flowers growing by your shed. I don't know what they are but they look like a trumpet flower.

  10. I haven't seen a fox in a long long time. Used to see them a lot when I was little. I love that side picture of the barn and also that shot of the inside! How cool!

  11. It's always fun to see the animals you see on your walks. The cows do seem content in their surroundings.
Your flowering shrub appears to be a weigela.
I'll bet those chocolate chippers went over well with the guys.

  12. We have wild coyotes in our neighborhood. Small pets left out at night, beware! I love the things you are thankful for in this post. I have been out of town and have missed some of your posts. Glad to be back and catching up a bit before leaving again. Have a good one!

Cool to see that fox. They are very difficult to get a photo of.
