Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Ken is in the title again - Good News!

The natural rocks along the road look like someone built walls at one time.
♡     ♡     ♡     ♡
It was the warmest morning so far this year at 62 degrees, but it was very windy which kept me from getting too warm when I walked.  The sun was out but there were lots of clouds too.

I walked the Farm Loop and around town.  You can easily see one of the geese here in one of the farm ponds but there is another one hidden in the bushes and you might be able to see the duck.
I've been seeing lots of tractors and here's one that just passed me.
I saw a few of these birds in the field but have never seen one before and don't know what kind it is.  Can someone please identify it for me? : )  It was pretty far away when it finally sat still so I had to zoom in, so the picture is not very good.
By the time I got back from walking the sun had left and it felt like rain was on the way.
I walked 6.2 miles.

Great news!!  The biopsy on that dark spot on Ken's gum came back NO CANCER.  Thank you God!  And thank all of you who prayed!!

I guess I could have come up with better title for yesterday's post! : )

I went to Cherry Hill today and took along some baked brownies this week for dessert after their lunch.
Pastor Grant played his guitar again and we all sang some hymns.  He has been playing the same 4 and they are singing along more now.  I made copies of the songs and passed out the words.
After Pastor gave a short sermon, one of the ladies wanted to know a bit more so I stayed behind with her and read some Bible verses and talked with her.  What a sweet lady she is.

By the time I left for home it was raining and has been ever since.
Hanging around home this afternoon doing.  I hope to get some reading done later.

Hope this day is a happy one and you smiled often.
happyone : )

Jane - I've always liked to walk but started walking in June of 1988 for exercise.  I knew I wanted to do some form of exercise to keep in shape and knew it would have to be something that I liked or I wouldn't keep it up.  Since I liked walking I thought that would be the thing for me.
I stared walking with a friend Joanne and we would walk two miles, Monday through Friday.  Unless it rained and we would skip that day.
Then we just started talking more and ended up walking 3 miles.
She moved away and I continued walking by myself and realized I prefer walking alone.
Little by little the time and distance increased and I started walking in the rain too.
Now I walk 6 miles most every day.
My motivation to start walking was to be healthy.
Now I just enjoy walking and I guess you could say I'm a bit obsessed with it. : )
Sorry for the very long answer to your question. : )

  1. hi Karen! I'm over here at the now 'regular' blog. Fun! More details here, for sure. Didn't know about the biopsy and so very glad to know the results. Biopsy is a weird or almost foreboding word in our vocabularies, huh? Interesting events here too. Brownies are my 'cheating food' can not resist them, esp my sis in laws. I love the scripture in Philippians. Christ does indeed strengthen me!

I do feel good today. Yesterday was not so good. Today is nice. Tomorrow is chemo #2 if blood test says is ok. It probably will be since I am not tired. hope hope. ♥, Renae

Brownies! Yum! How nice of you to spend extra time at Cherry Hill.

That is a very interesting bird, though I couldn't help you with the kind of bird it is.

Pretty pictures today, as always! I love seeing that soft green grass growing among the rocks.

You're getting the rain we had yesterday. I didn't think it would ever stop. Glad it wasn't snow!
