Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A new HT toy

Pink for you Renae
 ♡     ♡     ♡     ♡
I usually usually get up about 6:15 but this morning I slept right past then and didn't get up till 7:15.  That doesn't happen very often.  It rained a lot during the night and it was still wet and dark in the morning though the rain had stopped. That's probably why I over slept.  I didn't walk this morning because we were going out after breakfast and me starting my walk late would mean delaying leaving.

The clouds blew away and the sun was out in a pretty blue sky with puffy white clouds when after breakfast we went to LaVale again.  Last time we were there we bought a new toy for Happy Trails and it came in yesterday so we went to pick it up today.

We stopped at HT and had some fun driving it around getting used to it.  I can see lots of fun hours with this thing. : )

Ken stayed up at HT making room for the ATV  in the tractor barn and I took an afternoon walk home.  It is a three mile walk from there to the house so once I got to town I walked around until I had walked my full six miles before I went back to the house.
A couple of pictures on the walk home.

I saw a couple of deer and a few Indigo Buntings walking home too.

Walking home I met Harry, who lives in one of the houses I walk past.  He was out in his yard and I stopped to talk.  He said he often sees me walking by.

When I got back home I walked around the yard and filled the bird feeders.  Thought about mowing the lawn but the yard is a bit soggy so will give it another day to dry out.

We went out for supper this evening at the Mexican restaurant down in Oakland and stopped at Lowe's on the way home.

Soon I will be sitting in my chair reading before watching some television and knitting.
Hope your day has been a good one and you are happy.

Sounds like your day was full and happy. Mine was sort of like that as well, only I didn't buy an ATV,wouldn't know what to do with it if I had one.LOL

I had to come back to find out about the bobolink. Had never known what they were even though when I looked it up it says that they live in my area. Love having people who know things around!

The new toy looks like great fun! Are you going to go exploring in the state park?

Oh, you are going to love your new toy! A good friend of ours in Arizona has one of those and rides it out in the desert. She took us for a ride the last time we were there. (Hers is a 4-seater). It's got fantastic traction for climbing over the rocky terrain there.

That was a lot of rain that went through. We cut our grass yesterday and, good thing, because we had more downpours today.
