Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pizza and a new project

Back to more normal weather and I walked outside this morning.  It was 22 degrees and windy and it was dark at 7:00 when I left.  It was nice when the sun rose and then stayed out.  Dropped off a Netflix at the post office and walked around town including both cemeteries and the loop behind the ball park.  The pond by the Drane house had a bunch of geese there.
This young bull at the farm on Barn Sale Rd came down close by the fence and I took his picture.  I like how his hair/fur  looks fluffy.  The tag in his ear says Char. and I wonder if his name is Charlie.  That's what I'm going to call him anyway. : )
I saw some blue jays and a red winged blackbird.
No people around.
I walked 6.2 miles.

We went out this morning to do some errands and since we were still out at lunch time we stopped at a pizza place that we pass but have never been to before.  So glad we did.  It is a cute little place and they make a great pizza.  We saw other people there eating sandwiches and they all looked good too. It is called Tomasetti's and we will certainly go there again.
We had painted the back splash in the kitchen blue temporarily while we decided what we wanted to put there.  The other day when I cleaned the kitchen and wiped it down I ended up taking some of the paint off.  It looks awful now so thought this would be a good time to decide what I wanted for the back splash so at Lowe's today we bought these panels that look like old tin and will put them up in the next day or so.
This evening the ladies of my church are all invited to Kathy's (Pastor's Wife) house for a spring dinner.  I don't know exactly what Kathy has in mind for us but it will be a fun time and I'm really looking forward to it.

That's it for today.
Hope you had a great Friday.

Today's Three Happy Things
  1. A new pizza place
  2. Deciding upon a black splash and getting materials to do the project
  3. Looking forward to a night out with the ladies from church

WOW you do inspire me to try and get out and walk. Your scenery is so spectacular. I have seen these back splash installed and they are lovely. Good luck, I look forward to seeing them installed.
Your new found pizza place looks great. I always enjoy time with the ladies from our church too. Our pastor's wife is an excellent cook and is in the process of writing a cookbook. Thank you for visiting me and for your sweet comments.
Enjoy your weekend.
Blessings,
Sue

That little pizza place looks as if it has great atmosphere...at least from the outside. I really like your backsplash and hope that we'll get to see it all installed. Have fun at the ladies' supper!

What a cute little pizza place! Love the picture of the young steer. That is a good backsplash choice. We need to add one here, but just haven't taken the time to choose materials.

Charlie is as good a name as any for the bull. I love finding a good pizza place. I never cared for pizza when I was growing up but love it now. Art
