Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Back to normal

Ah, a normal winter has returned. : )  It was cloudy but 20 degrees this morning and the wind has left the area.  What a pleasure to get outside and have my walk in the fresh air.  I didn't even need to wear my ski mask.
I put the ice grippers on my shoes and had a pleasant walk around town.
I didn't see any people out walking, only cars and buses with people going to work and school.
A few rabbits hopped away from me as I walked by and I stopped to pet one of the horses down by the Drane house.

I took this picture of a red jeep on the dealers lot.  I'm thinking next fall I am going to get a nice little red jeep.  I'd like a 2 door though not a 4 door like in the picture.  My corvette is just not a winter car up here.  I could drive the truck but that is Ken's and I can just picture myself driving around in a red jeep. : )
 I walked 6.4 miles.

Finished number 3 and last of the Christmas puzzles today.  It is a lot harder when you don't look at the box.  This was a fun one.  It was 1000 pieces.
Ken installed a light in the kitchen under the cabinet so we have better lighting while we are cooking.  It is between the stove and the sink.  He is going to put another one  on the other side of the sink too.

Went out to eat for supper at Perkins.  Had soup and sandwich.  While there we ran into a friend Becky from church.  We run into a lot of people we know when we're out. I guess because there aren't as many people around here and not that many places to go to. : )

I plan on reading for a awhile before it's television time.  We will be watching Doc Martin this evening.

They are predicting rain for tomorrow.  I'd rather have snow.  Rain is just going to just make a mess of everything.

Hope your day found you smiling often.

Oh, good! I'm glad you were able to walk outside today! Our high temperature here reached 50 degrees! That is a pretty red Jeep!

Yay for getting out of the house to walk! Ohhhhhq...sweet red jeep. Yup, I can see you buzzing around in that. Rain will certainly be a mess; I'm not looking forward to it here either.

Glad you could walk again. We went out this afternoon also. Much warmer! For Christmas my husband installed some undercounter lighting too. It makes a big difference when cooking!

It is nice to have comfortable temperatures again (for skiing and such). And you're a little red jeep kind of girl, eh?

I'm amazed that you put a 1000 piece puzzle together so quickly. It looks like a hard one to me.
Glad for the under the cabinet lighting and for the red jeep in your future.
I'm sure you enjoyed your walk outdoors. The fresh air is good for us. Mary Jo

Red jeep? Will you keep your red sports car?

Just a suggestion. For reliability and traction you cannot beat a Subaru. We have had one if those several times and it handles well in all kinds of weather. Even ice. In fact when we visited Alaska that seemed to be the only thing we saw.

We looked at Jeeps a while back since we need a new car to replace the Red 96 Corolla with 250,000 miles that my husband drives. We actually decided that we will probably get a Suburu when we do get a new car. We have heard they are great in the snow and much more stable than Jeeps than can tend to roll. We are saving up though, so we don't have to have another car payment. I love you puzzle. Glad things have warmed up a bit where you are. Have a Happy Day - I know you will!

We are always looking for good shows and have followed many of your suggestions on Netflix and liked them. I have now added Doc Martin - thank you! I only wish Netflix had season 1. I hope I can catch up with what's going on! That red jeep is cute. Wait-are jeeps allowed to be cute?! Well, this one will be, with you in it! Thank you for your comment on my sugar cookies. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
