Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another puzzle

It was 30 degrees this morning but it snowed during the night and then rained and there was a coating of ice so it was a basement walk for me this morning.  I did my usual five miles down there listening to the Eagles.  It's been nice catching up on some  music that I haven't listened to for a while.

I wasn't going to start anymore puzzles but then went and did another one today.  This is an old one though.  It seems once I start doing puzzles and I go through all the ones that I have, so I'll probably be doing puzzles for quite a while. : )   This was an easy one and only 500 pieces.
Stayed home all day and just did a bit of this and that.  Had a simple supper of meatloaf sandwiches and Ken left afterwards to have a train night at one of his friends house down in Hagerstown which is about an hour and a half away so I have the evening to myself.

Today is our youngest grandson's birthday.  Japhy is 8 years old today.  This picture is his latest school picture.  Happy Birthday Japhy. : )
Hope your day was a happy one and that you smiled often.
happyone : )

RK - Oh no, I'll always keep my Corvette - that's my dream car. : )
RK and Deb -  I'm sure a Subaru is a great car but it is not the kind of car for me.  I like something that is different and fun to drive.  I'd like my jeep to have big tires and a stick shift.  : )  If I don't get a jeep I'd like a FJ Crusier - that's another fun car to drive.

Karen - Doc Martin has just started over with Season 1 on PBS - we watched it there yesterday.

You have a fine looking grandson! My oldest grandson will be 8 in May. I'm with you on the Jeeps...they are fun to drive. We test drove one just like the one in your picture, except it was white, and I was ready to buy it on the spot! Glad you are enjoying your puzzles and walking to classic rock in your basement. Hearing that Ken went to Hagarstown brought back memories of a vacation we had in Maryland some years back. It was so pretty in that area, we talked about how we would like to move there. I've never seen Doc Martin so maybe I will have to check that show out! Have a good weekend.

Our Doc Martin show was the one where his aunt locks a bratty kid into the chicken coop. He says, "I got locked into the closet under the stairs all the time when I was a kid. It never did anything to me." Still makes me laugh.

I had not realized or had forgotten how close our grands are in age. Sam will be 8 next week. Japhy is such a happy, handsome boy. A very happy birthday to him!

My dad just bought a Jeep CJ. He plans to teach his oldest grandson to drive using it! I, as the mother of that grandson, am refusing to accept the fact that he's old enough to learn how to drive! Happy birthday to your grandson. He is a handsome young man.

We have a puzzle out on the dining room table, waiting to be started. My 12 year old daughter and I work on them together.

Happy Birthday to your grandson!

It sounds as though you are really having a good taste of snow this winter. Walking indoors may occur more this winter.

I have worked jigsaw puzzles in the past, then adhered them for framing. That is not the simplest thing to do, but we have several displayed in the house.

Enjoy your week-end!

Hi Karen, You are to puzzles like I am to Family History… It's sorta an addiction. Once you start, it's hard to stop! ha

Glad you can walk at home during icy weather… We are very warm and the sun is out now after a rainy night.

I always wanted a jeep--to drive in the mountains.
Hugs,
Betsy
