Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A winter day

This morning brought with it snow, a temperature of 10 degrees and wind so I had a basement walk today.  Took the picture out of the dining room window.  You can see how windy it is by the flag blowing straight out.
I listened to Meatloaf (Bad Attitude) again while walking 5 1/2 miles.

It's been snowing on and off all day and we've been warm and cozy inside.
I did go outside for a little while this afternoon to put out the bird seed for the birds  and the one squirrel.  I shoveled a little snow, walked around the yard and got the mail.

Inside the house I worked on my counted cross stitch and put a few more pieces in the puzzle.  We have one sitting out on the table again, but we aren't working on it a lot, just every so often we walk by and put a few pieces in. The puzzle we are working on now has 1000 pieces and the picture is of a whole bunch of junk cars piled high on top of each other.

That's about it for today.
Hope you're enjoying your Saturday.

And what flavor was your tootsie roll pop? It makes a difference you know! Must have the same weather system...I should check. It started snowing this afternoon and is still at it. Tomorrow will bring another system with more snow. Fine with me.

Pretty winter day! Good for you, getting miles in whatever it takes. That puzzle sounds hard. Once you get above about 10 pieces, I get challenged. Art

Good way to spend a snowy day. It's been very cold and windy here today. Had a good visit with the family today. Mary Jo

I love the snowy picture. Will look forward to seeing your puzzle when you are finished. Ours is also making slow progress - but progress none the less. Have a happy Sunday!

Sally has some Meatloaf on her play list for the wedding, don't know which tracks though. The snow looks pretty, I'm not sure if I would be happy to have snow as then the house gets cold but I love walking in the snow.
Sorry to read about your fall the other day. Hope you didn't get too sore afterwards.

A very pretty view out your window. I had to enlarge the picture to see the flag.
Your day sounds most enjoyable.
