Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A white Christmas : )

I had a regular outside walk around town this morning.  Winter is here again.  It was 25 degrees and started snowing while I was walking.  It was very light and blowing around as you can from the picture.
I paid my horse friends a visit down by the Drane house and went up Spear Rd to see the cows up that way.  Passed by LC and friends but they were all toasty warm in their hen house.

It was quiet walk and I didn't see any one around.
I walked 6 miles.

Looks like we will be having a white Christmas after all.  : )

We needed some food so off we went in the snow to Walmart.  Thought there would be lots of people there because of Christmas but it just seemed like a regular day.
Here we are turning up the street to home.
Our house in the snow.

A few of you have asked what Ken used to make the hooks for the back of the plates that we hung above the kitchen cabinets.
He used a little piece of styrene plastic, a small piece of coated wire, and Contact Cement.  He cut a piece of wire, made a loop, bent the ends up over the plastic.  Then dabbed some of the contact cement on the plate and plastic, waited a bit and then stuck it on the plate.

In about an hour we are leaving for church for the Christmas Eve service.  We have an early one at 6:00.  Looking forward to starting Christmas off being thankful for our many blessings and thinking about Jesus. : )
Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

A very happy and Merry Christmas to each and every one of you, my friends.
My Christmas wish for each of you is that (if you don't already) you know Jesus and accept His gift of
salvation.

A beautiful white Christmas, too! We were at Wal*Mart today and it was a zoo. (Probably had a lot to do with the three-day ice storm.)

By now, you may have arrived back home after your Christmas Eve service. John says that he just can't make it to the midnight service this year. All this scraping and clearing of ice has him tuckered out. He says I can go. No, I'd probably fall asleep and that wouldn't be good.

Have a beautiful, bright, and Merry Christmas!

I found plate hooks at Hobby Lobby that work great...not a plate hanger..but a hook that cements to the back...yours work fine I see...

Wishing you and Ken a very merry and blessed Christmas!

Enjoy your white Christmas. Ours is not starting out that way but we do have snow predicted.

We were in our local Walmart on Monday and it was quite busy. There was no way I was going to attempt it today! lol!

Merry Christmas!
