Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A rainy walk

It was a rainy day walk this morning and 55 degrees.  I left a little past 6:30 and it was dark like the middle of the night.  I didn't wear my rain pants but I did take along my umbrella.

Stayed around home on streets that didn't have traffic and where there were street lights.  When it got lighter I walked a few loops around the path behind the ball park which starts there in the picture.

I didn't see any other people or animals except for Max the dog who always barks at me!!

The wind kicked up a bit and I was pretty wet and getting a bit chilly so I was back home after walking 5.2 miles - 10,018 steps.

I finished reading the book for my book club.  The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker and thought it was very good.  I'm looking forward to hearing what the others thought of the book.
I just learned that there is a squeal to the book called A Well Tempered Heart which I'll have to read. : )

Just been at home today doing a little cleaning.  The sun came out for a while in the afternoon but it is cooler now.  Back to feeling like fall again.

We are having home made pizza for supper so I'd better go and get the dough started.  Though it only takes a couple of minutes to load the ingredients in the bread machine, it then takes 1 1/2 hours to turn it into dough.

That's it for today.
Hope you're having a good one.

Homemade pizza sounds awesome. I wish pizza had some sort of loyalty rewards program :)

Our rain came during the night, and now we have temperatures that are much more like fall.

Homemade pizza sounds good! I have baked spaghetti in the oven now, and the aroma is similar!

Enjoy book club!

Rainy day and windy here, too. I was not one bit tempted to walk! Is this pizza dough recipe somewhere? Off to snoop.

Walks in the rain can be fun if you have a warm, dry place to return to.

Now here it is 5:30AM, and you have me thinking about pizza! :^)
