Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday but it sure feels like Monday

60 degrees this morning and cloudy.  Most mornings when I start walking it is cloudy or foggy and then the sun comes out while I'm walking.

I walked my usual route but walked it in the opposite direction which made it feet like a different walk.

I saw a red tailed hawk sitting on top of a wire and lots of crows.  A few gold finches, some rabbits and the usual cows and chickens.

I'm thinking the fence inside the fence that surrounds all those weeds was a garden at one time.
Maybe an herb garden.  I've always wanted to have an herb garden. I might just do that in the spring.

This morning I walked 6.2 miles - 12,094

Ken went up to HT in the morning to do a little weed trimming.  I stayed home and did some things around the house.

After lunch we did a few errands.  We needed new tires for the truck and ordered some last week and today we had them put on the truck. The garage we used was a small one owned and worked by one man.   We like to use the small local businesses when we can.

That's been my day so far.
We are just having spaghetti for supper this evening and it's about that time so I'd better go get that started.

A happy day to you.

Mary Jo left this comment on yesterday's post.  Just wanted you all to see it.  : )

Thanks everyone for your comments hoping for Karen, Ken and me to have a good weekend. It couldn't have been better. They are great hosts. I had a lovely suite downstairs all to myself. Mary Jo

Oh you'd love an herb garden...even if you never cooked with the fresh herbs, which I am sure that you would, the smells are wonderful. I walk by and crush the rosemary a bit or the lemon verbena...ahhhhh...wonderful. You've certainly got plenty of room to grow a garden!

Sure felt like a Monday to me at work, but it is nice that tomorrow is Wednesday. My four days off flew by, but the weekend is coming.

We love our herb garden! It is so nice to be able to go out and pick fresh herbs when I am cooking.

It sounds like you were quite the hosts for Mary Jo!

I have often thought of having a little herb garden myself, but here in Arizona very little survives in the summer heat. I do have a friend down the street who grows chives in her yard! Maybe I'll go and get some starts from her. Glad you all had such a lovely weekend. Such great memories! P.S. You are sure welcome to come for dinner any time! I would love that!
