Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Coins on the driveway

It was quite warm at 68 degrees when I walked this morning and also foggy again.  I walked my usual route past the farms and then up and down the road in the picture.  I call this the 'farm loop tree route.'
Tree is in there because this is the road with the odd tree on it.

No farm animals down near any of the roads today.  They were all far away in the upper fields.
Didn't see any wildlife either.

The lady in the maroon van whizzed by me again.  No need to worry though because I can see her coming from a long way off and have plenty of time to get off the road.  I don't wear any reflective clothing but do wear light and bright color tops.  And I always pay attention to my surroundings.  I never listen to music either.  Not only because I want to be aware of my surroundings but I don't want to miss any of natures sounds around me. : )

As always I enjoyed my morning walk.
I walked 6.2 miles - 11,937 steps.

I rarely find coins around here when I walk and I mentioned that to Ken.  Today when I walked up the driveway, lo and behold there on the driveway I found two quarters, a dime and 5 pennies.  : )  What a guy!!  I'm not counting them as found money but it was fun to find the coins.

By late afternoon we had some rain and with it came some nice cool weather.  It's feeling more like fall again.  Looks like we are in for some thunder storms tonight.  I should have a nice cool morning walk tomorrow.

We've been enjoying our time at home today.
Hope your day brought you happiness.

You'd have to leap up the hill if she came by there! Light clothing is good, but she'll not see it. She needs a bit of shine to wake her up. Ohhhh, I forgot to tell you that John found a quarter in the Wal*Mart parking lot. Gotta wonder if folks like Ken like to make people grin. Tell Ken that you've never found a $100 dollar bill! = D

Cute about Ken and the coins in the driveway.:-) I am always finding pennies in parking lots. Usually not much of more value that a penny.

Enjoy your evening!

Your husband is sure a sweetheart! You are one lucky lady. I don't listen to music when I walk either. Sometimes, I will call my mother and talk to her when I walk alone, but when Charly is with me, we walk and talk to each other. My walk with him is my favorite time of the day. Have a good evening.

Smart not to listen to music while you are out and about. I love music - I am listening to it now - but I don't when I am out and about for the same two reasons as you.

A few weeks ago, a former teammate on my race teams died at age 53. She had lost her son from leukemia about ten years before, and it was the opinion of some of my friends who ran with her a lot and got to know her that she essentially died from mourning the death of her son Jason all those years. When she used to find pennies while out running, she would say that those were pennies that Jason left for her to find. Now, I can't find a penny without thinking of her. Art

Hi Happyone! So nice to find your blog today!

Your photos are so peaceful and still. Isn't it great to get out into that and walk? I do like to walk for exercise, but I do plug-in to get a beat to keep me going. Never found any coins, though!

Have a blessed weekend:)
