Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Moutain Lake

No time to walk this morning because we went up to HT early and brought the trailer back to the house.  Wanted to do it early before there was any cars around.  It went very well.  Ken hooked the trailer up to the truck then drove it slowly down the mountain,  through town and backed it perfectly right beside the garage.  His driving skills amaze me.  I wouldn't even attempt trying to back that up the driveway!!
Now we can give it wash and put it up for sale.
I made us pancakes for breakfast and we topped them off with bananas and syrup.  Then we were off to check out another church.  This one is the Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church and I'm very happy to say that THIS IS THE ONE!!!  It is 19 miles away but worth the drive.  Very friendly people, people of all ages, there is a choir and we sang songs I knew and most importantly a pastor we really like who seems sincere in what he believes and preaches a good sermon.  A good Bible believing church. : )  I Thank God for answered prayers and for all those of you who prayed for us to find a church.

In church a woman who we now know as Connie came up to us and said, "I think we are neighbors.  Did you buy the house that had the two corvettes in the driveway?" When we said yes she told us that she lived up the street from us. She had been meaning to come over and introduce herself but hadn't gotten around to it yet.  That seemed to be a good sign to me.  The other sign was, near the end of the service when Pastor asked the question, "If you were to die tonight, do you know for sure you would go to heaven?"  Pastor Simpson at my old church used to ask that all the time.  When I heard that I just knew this was the church!!  : )

The weather is cool, sunny and beautiful today.
Hope your having a wonderful day too.
happyone  : )

May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace as you trust in Him,
so that you may overflow
with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Wonderful! A new church and a new neighbor!

Well done with the driving and getting the trailer right where you needed it for now.

We are having a quiet afternoon. We went out for lunch after church and now we're home on our respective devices in the middle of a thunderstorm. Very cozy!

Have a great afternoon!

How exciting! I'm glad you've found the right church. It's good you didn't have time to get out of the habit of going to church before you found it.
Every Sunday people ask if I've heard from you. I tell them what I know. They will be happy for you.
Thinking of you often. Glad you're making friends. MJ

So glad to hear that you have found a new church! It is always a happy thing to feel like you "go home" every Sunday when you go to church. Good luck on selling your trailer. I'm sure you will have it looking "Spic 'n span" and will have it sold in no time! Enjoy the week ahead!

I think, with a church, you just "know". It's kind of like love in that way. You just have that "feeling" that you don't have with the others.
