Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Bird feeders

49 degrees this morning and some low hanging clouds hanging around, but the sun came shining through those clouds in no time.

I saw one runner off in the distance and the lady that walks with the headphones said good morning to me.  : )

No horses today in the field by the one cemetery but the bull was there.  I saw a few gold finches and as usual lots of rabbits, but I saw two tiny bunnies that couldn't have been very old.  I could have held both of them in my hand.  They scampered off once they saw me.  Such cute little things!!!

A most enjoyable walk.
I walked 6.3 miles which was 11,876 steps.
I haven't kept track of the sunrise and sets lately but looked them up this morning.
Sunrise  6:20
Sunset 8:25
I also looked the times up for where I used to live.
Sunrise there was 6:11 and sunset is 8:15

Ken went up to Happy Trails after breakfast and I did some house cleaning.  By lunch time I had enough of cleaning and Ken was back home.  After lunch we went to do a few errands - Lowe's, Walmart and to Oakland to put a For Sale ad in the paper for the trailer.  We parked in the town parking lot which is right next to the railroad tracks and just as we were getting back to the car a train happened by.
The two bird feeders that I have,  got put up in the back yard yesterday and today we bought bird seed to put in them and as soon as we got home with the seed I put some out.  Took a picture and stayed there with my camera hoping some birds would come by, but no birds yet.  I guess the word as to get around first.  I can see the feeders as I look at the back window that is over the sink.  Hopefully I'll see some birds soon.
We've had another beautiful sunny cool day to enjoy.
A very happy Monday to you.

Those birds will find those feeders soon, and the word will spread.:-) It sounds like you are continuing to make your new location "just like home!"

Cute bird feeders, feed them and they will come. I am filling our feeders with a seeds and nuts mix and the small birds love this, the house finches and purple finches, and the aggressive Scrub jays prefer sunflower seeds so I backed off on that because the jays dominate the feeders.

Poor Marilyn...I hope that she had many things to smile about.

Those feeders are darling! It shouldn't take long for the word to get out. It was just such a day today here as well...loved the coolness and the low humidity. I opened every window in the house and gave it a good airing. John was frozen when he came home for lunch. He's not used to such breezes blowing through.

I love your bird feeders and your lovely big, nicely mowed, yard! Sounds like your weather is perfect. Guess what I just found out today that my daughter is moving to Maryland! She is very excited. They lived in Northern Virginia a while ago and loved it. They are a Navy family so probably won't be too near to you. I will let you know what town when I find out. Have a great day!

I think the birds will be finding their way to your cute feeders in no time and then it will be a matter of keeping them filled.
Your weather sounds delightful and the sky looks so beautiful.

This is the first time commenting on your blog; I have been following it for some time. Your pictures are beautiful and your posts make me smile each day. Do you happen to have a link to your ad for your trailer, or are you able to post any information about it here? My husband and I would be interested in more information about it. Sorry for asking this on your comments, but I couldn't find a "contact me" link. Thank you for your upbeat, positive posts!

LOVE your bird feeders!!

We have been having unseasonably cool weather here too.... it almost feels like FALL!
