Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Fun on the mower

Another misty morning and a cool one too.  I didn't bother with an umbrella because I wore my sweatshirt with a hood and when it rained I just put up my hood.  At one point I saw peeks of sun but then it hid behind the clouds again and it rained.  But still it was nice to be out walking.  I have to get a new thermometer - had no idea what the temperature was.
I walked down the main road today in one direction and then came back, passed up the house and went down the other direction before turning around again.
A barn I passed along the way.
Ken had left to go for his bagel and coffee while I was walking and gave me a toot as he passed by me in the car.

I made a couple of loops around the path by the ball field and then came home.
I walked 6 miles which was 11,144 steps.
************************************
All the  big things are moved into the house and now there are just some boxes with odds and ends in them.  We can't seem to find the pins to put in the book shelves which hold the shelves in so still can't put the books in them.
I've been putting some things aside that I just don't want any more and wonder why we even bring them with us.  I say donate them to a charity but Ken would like to have a garage sale.  I told him not I, it will be YOUR garage sale.  I'm going out that day.  I really dislike having garage sales.  He is fine with that.

Things are still not in order around the house though a lot has been done.  Pictures still need to be hung up on the walls and the spare room down stairs is still a mess.  I've just dumped things in there for now while I decide where I want to put them.

Ken left for HP on his own this morning to go through some things that are still there while I stayed home putting a few more things in order.

After lunch we went out and bought some more of those shelve pins for the book  shelves and now probably tomorrow we will find them.

Here's a few pictures of me and the lawn mower. : )

I didn't know that Ken took a video of me too though it is a bit blurry.   I'm learning how to turn the thing around here and it was so funny.  I felt like I was on a carnival ride. : )

Supper tonight was baked ziti.  I made enough for two meals.  One to eat and one to freeze.
The weather turned out delightful.  Sunny and 70 degrees with a breeze.
So that's it for today.
Hope you enjoyed your day.

When I was in grade school they told me to write down
what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I wrote down Happy.
They told me I didn't understand the assignment.
I told them, they didn't understand life.

Oh I've got to get to the PC before long to watch the video. What a big, beautiful lawn! Is that your Eastern Spruce? (Or something ver similar)

You were whipping around there pretty fair. John thinks the grass looks a little long. I hope that you're not going to have to rake it off!
